All you have to do is copy Optiscaler folder contents and a single DLL compiled from AMD's leaked int 8 version of FSR 4 into the game folder with the exe. Execute a batch file included with Optiscaler and answer 4 questions and you're good. It really is shocking how good the int 8 FSR4 is...
My results show a nearly identical framerate to FSR 3 quality using FSR 4 balanced, with all foliage shimmering and most distant artifacting removed. I tested with 7900 GRE, but it seems everything from the 7700 up bears similar results. Installation into a game is very straight forward.
For anyone with an AMD 7000 series RDNA3 GPU, I've tested optiscaler FSR 3 > FSR 4 conversion, and the results were surprising. I'll only use upscalers in two games, but one of those, Cyberpunk 2077, the image quality using balanced preset was better than the image quality using FSR 2 and 3 quality
It appears like Steam has marked some titles as hidden in my library. (I have not)
