Over the past several years I've also been fortunate enough to be working alongside the folks at Best Hobby Games on Zeo Genesis, where I've been responsible for box art and helping to design quite a few of the miniatures that are starting to come out in the new range (3/3)

The Last crewmember in Gossamer Frontier, The Crone! A mysterious figure whose real name is unknown; they appear human but are clearly much older, and stranger, than they first appear... Her art was inspired by the World Arcana, I played fast and loose with this one but I'm happy with the result!

Meet Norahna, your ship's Doctor in Gossamer Frontier! [This position has been government mandated and does not guarantee your comfort during any required procedures... Try not to get hurt] Her card was inspired by the Tower Arcana; another one whose symbolism was very fun to play around with!

An alien woman with skin like marbled clay or porcelain stands dressed in flowing hi-tech garb, wielding a pistol in her left hand. She has no visible eyes, and has grooves in her flesh that reveal a marbled material much like her skin. From above and behind her a sunburst motif cascades down, her form disintegrating where it touches her. The background contains a tiled motif of inverted humanoid shapes; the fallout of her past.

And another one! Meet Deilius, your ship's Mechanist in Gossamer Frontier. They were elven once, but have escaped the realm of death and didn't come back unchanged... They are loosely based off of the Magician Arcana, which has a bunch of fun parallels.

An androgynous Elf with blue-tinged skin and dark hair stands in front of an elaborate cog motif; their forearms glow a pale ghostly blue and their bones are clearly visible. They hold a heavy looking adjustable wrench which is pointing upwards, while their other hand gestures below. They wear fairly dapper clothes for an engineer, with a buttondown shirt tucked neatly into an iridescent waistcoat, over which they are wearing a chest harness with several pouches neatly slung across it for ease of access. They are surrounded by a ring of spectral tools.

I'm not dead! Have a Gossamer Frontier crewmate, since I've got a few of these chambered now. Meet Macky! Your security specialist who is... very good at his job and not too glad of it. Like all the crew he's loosely based off of a Major Arcana, in this case the Devil. More commentary in the Alt!

A tarot style image of a Human Man with mythically strong proportions. He kneels among a field of pale blue-white Chrysanthemums with swords plunged into the ground all around him; two of them pass through the heavy chains manacled to his wrists, male and female devils adorn their hilts. His demeanour is bent and mournful, he is bowed under the weight of the many lives he has taken, but is still tempted to pick up his sword once more. His longsword glows at his touch with strange patterns that match his many green tattoos.

The human heritage option in this game is loosely inspired by Arthurian legend, so MacArthur was supposed to be built like a brick shithouse, literally larger than life. It was a fun little challenge to keep his garb somewhere between fantasy and science fiction, with cues pulled from things like dagged cowls and gold jewelry but worked in ways that would require more modern manufacturing techniques.

Happy Star Wars day! Here's a bunch of art I did for the Mandalorian Adventure game and its expansions a while ago. (There's more but idk what's been shown) These were so much fun to work on. Kid me would never believe I'd be getting production still reference from Lucasfilm one day.

Meet Kiri, the next crewmate for Gossamer Frontier! She is a Naiad and the quartermaster of your crew, wheeling and dealing to get you what you need as she escapes an awful past. Kiri is loosely based on The Star Tarot, it was fun sneaking in some of its symbols while keeping to a water theme.

Say hello to Wheeler, the 1st crewmate in Gossamer Frontier! Wheeler is the ship's navigator and works the Loom that makes travel possible, so threads seemed a strong motif. I also wanted to subtly referece the Hanged Man card here, so all the drapery is a hint that our POV might be upside-down.

Their clothing hangs upwards, implying that our view is upsides down and they are suspended from the ceiling. surrounding them are brilliant threads as if on a loom, and glowing patterns of constellations and gravitational orbits can be seen in their strands.

Hey I can show work from an ongoing project! This is the cover for Gossamer Frontier, a solo RPG inspired by Bioware style 'assemble your crew' games and Tarot Art. This is a very different style for me to work in but I've been having a blast, Crewmate spots coming soon!

Drop Something Red! 😈 No idea how Bsky is going to handle this, but this was a GM screen/cover for an Apocalypse themed 5e book that I did back at Petersen Games. It was fun to pay homage to the OG D&D Eidolon cover, and the setting's Demon designs (from the inimitable Keith Thompson) are wild.

a very wide image designed to be placed on a 3 fold GM screen for roleplaying games. It features a crumbling wall with an arched gate in its center through which is a window into Hell, with the Demon Baphomet leering through it. The central portion of the composition is an homage to the Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Player's handbook cover, with demons clambering across Baphomet instead of adventurers on the statue. All around the wall are scenes of destruction, with demons spilling across an ochre sky choked with fumes in the background.

A Kholo Exemplar leaps into action, divine Lightning arcs across her body and to her greatsword. The blade glows with sigils like constellations, similar to the scarred markings across her body. She will mess you up.

A bratty looking young woman with Bright red skin and a shaggy mess of white hair that is roughly pleated into two side braids. A pair of horns curve out above her glowing yellow/orange eyes. She has a cocky, mirthless smirk that shows a hint of enlarged teeth; just beginning to show the telltale curve of Oni fangs.

A Kitsune Magus summons 5 motes of foxfire while wreathed in a magical aurora. They have the cross fox fur pattern and are bundled up in a Greatcoat with lots of occult odds and ends tucked into belt pouches and a purple sash. Their rock familiar hangs from a netted bag on their belt, with a battered red spellbook is stowed on the opposite side.

A Tanglefolk (Similar folk to Halflings) woman smiles at the viewer. She is dark skinned with tightly curled hair dyed blue toward its tips, she wears colorful yellow and blue clothing with bright geometric patterns and is covered in pouches and stowage for wares and small objects. She has a Songstaff slung over her shoulder, a blend between Ocarina and walking stave, it whistles when swung or as the Tanglefoot sprint at their famed high speeds.

If you see this, qrp with your oc smiling!! Sure why not! My Dhampir Witch from a Season of Ghosts PF2e campaign. Reiya doesn't smile a ton (self conscious about the fangs), but has been loosening up a little bit since the adventure kicked off, in no small part due to the acceptance of the party!

Another Commission from the same group as the last! Priija is a Tengu/Ganzi Oracle of the Cosmos who does Harrow reading on the side. After a little digging we decided to use 'The Big Sky' as her constellation, she's got a Liberator streak under that shy exterior 🙂 #rpgart #pf2e #artistforhire

She has vesticial wings and wears simple robes with lots of embroidered decoration added to them. She holds a driftwood staff in one hand, its head has been shaped to act as a map to the stars when held aloft. In her right hand she summons a small mote of light, like a miniature star. Magic trails behind her as stars form a Constellation shaped like a shattered chain.

Once nice thing about doing comms on the side is I can actually post WIPs and not worry about NDAs, so here's a sneak peek at another PF2e character I'm working on! I had never heard of 'cross foxes' before this but I'm already itching to paint that fur pattern, they're amazing looking creatures 🦊

This piece has been doing the rounds with the Zeo Genesis news recently so I figure it's time to post it properly! This was done early on as mood exploration and features a lot of design cues that got dropped/moved elsewhere, but a lot has stuck around! IIRC this locked in the red guardcorp scheme.
