Given the durability and longevity of pumped hydro & the longer construction times, I’m disappointed that Ofgem have only selected three PSH as part of their LDES Cap & Floor Lithium batteries may be quick to construct but they aren’t sustainable in the the long term
Loving Stockholm archipelago & catching up with an old Swedish uni friend Architecture is beautiful & love the environmental management Saw some dead birch trees strapped to living trees specifically for small woodpecker to nest in (they like dead wood on living trees)
Out on the Baltic ‘singing sands’ of Dueodde on Bornholm Rather Hebridean apart from the Scots Pine backing the beach
Off across to Bornholm on the huge Catamaran ferry between Ystad and the island….. Just reached cruising speed of 39 knots If Scotland had one of these it would take about an hour to travel between Ullapool/Stornoway Denmark knows its stuff transport wise
Good day taking a friend and their daughter up Curved Ridge, she had done a chunk of indoor rock climbing but first scramble/ Munro, she did brilliantly Good to see a few groups off up Agags & January Jig on the Rannoch Wall Lunch on Crowberry Tower
Another new wind farm nearing COD, these 200m 5.5MW modern turbines are much quieter than the older models. A few years of construction to get to this stage Thank goodness it’s a cooler 24 degrees in Scotland today
Scotland - your periodic reminder that all electricity is zero carbon today, as it is most days Abundant renewable electricity generation definitely helps us transition to zero carbon heat & transport - looking at the electrification of Scotrail trains in the central belt for example
I’m not a huge fan of remote-ism I have to admit to liking a bit of daft cycling aka Tim Moore’s various escapades…….so Chapeau to riding a small folding bike up St Kilda’s only road
I was bombarded with these yesterday on site in Dumfries & Galloway Caught in my hair, one hit me in the eye, they like hi-viz One of the ecologists did point out it’s a fairly sharp peak season

Guys are we going to complain to the Electoral Commission about Independent Green Voice Ballot Box Scotland believe the fake facist party tricked us out of a.second MSP on the List here
There we go…..SNP voters 36% of the List vote here and Zero MSPs on the List More votes for Scottish Greens & they might have another pro-independence MSP rather than 2 Reform MSPs
Wooooo 🎉 @plaidcymru.bsky.social Looks like you will be the biggest party in the Senedd (and beat Reform) Plaid Cymru at 39 Reform at 32 Only 6 seats left to declare 90 out of 96 seats
Interesting to see who’s losing voters to Reform in constituency votes since the last election Will be interesting to see List vote changes
Out & about before 7am sticking out the Scottish Green Party A-boards at polling stations Scottish Greens are only standing on the regional list ballot (peach colour), they can beat Reform if enough people vote for them.... Looking really interesting in the Welsh elections too!
It’s generally just a positive thing to do ignoring any potential for political advantage to specific parties
Have a lovely time, hopefully the ferry is running ok, we were there last week & quite a few were cancelled. Fantastic seafood at the Pantry & great cakes at Colonsay House cafe. Still haven’t made it across to Oransay though after 5 visits, the tide never seems to be favourable 🤷♀️
When will journalists hold Offord to account ‘running through this coverage is threefold: a) completely avoid the actual policies of Farage & its consequences for human rights & minorities b) treat Offord as an individual separate from his parties policies c) venerate him because he’s rich’
Current projections (thank you @ballotbox.scot) show at least 2 Reform MSPs per region from the List
I’m going to campaign on “Vote Green on the list to stop Reform!” Loads of list votes equates to increased Green MSPs If the Scottish Greens (who aren’t standing in many constituencies) get loads of votes it will help to keep Reform out of Holyrood
