I have a pre-loved Lamy Safari with a medium nib and piston for sale in Kansas City. $20
Happy Birthday to Renė the Renegade! Can't wait until we can go ride together again!
Cars are why we can't have nice things! Today a driver crashed into the corner where I live slamming into the light pole, trash can and our stone bench where we sit. The left photo is the damage, the right is pre-damage. Look how far that stone bench is pushed back. The driver just drove away!
FYI, a new account is sending trying to trick users into giving them money. Users beware
Heads up Kansas City Residents and bike riders. Kansas City has a new Bikeway and Trail Plan survey open in speakeasy.kcmo.gov. Take a few minutes to give your thoughts on the future of bikeways, lanes and trails.
Compare the turnout at the Great American State Fair with pictures of the DC World Cup watch parties.
@kcstreetcar.org any reason why the streetcar is showing up as an inactive line in the Transit App?
another driver crashed into a building in KC today. Apparently it was a hit and run and the victim's car was pushed into the Green utopia building in Waldo.
My friend Jeff at Ottawa Bike and Trail in Ottawa Kansas is having an E-bike sale. Some great prices, check it out. qiw.soundestlink.com/ce/v/0/6a3d8...
The sign is fine but the post is still in the middle of the sidewalk but at least now one can navigate around it.
So called blue voter who is actually a reactionary boomer spouting off about how you have to be working in order to deserve safe affordable housing and health care completely dismissing that everyone deserves this. This was her response to a post about e-bikes being on the sidewalk.
I partied with Left Shark back in 2015 at a house party in KC. This is a legit photo, no editing or ai
My dream car. the Citroën 2CV. Basic, utilitarian and beautiful! A perfect city car
If it fits it sits, even on sidewalks There is no place drivers won't invade.
I'm loving the new women's @teamvismaleaseabike.com kits for The Tour De France this year. I think they remind us all we are still kids at heart and to go ride bikes with friends and have fun!
Yeah, I was there yesterday, took more pictures and sent more emails. It looks just barely wide enough to maybe get a wheel chair though, assuming the person wasn't in the chair, because then they would hit their head on the sign.
A family just tried to pass with a stroller. They stopped and now Dad is looking back probably questioning what to do!
I know my eyesight is not good but even I can see that this is an ADA violation! We have multiple residents who use wheelchairs, parents with strollers, people with impaired vision, users of shopping trolleys etc and the sidewalks are unusable to them now!! @mayorq.bsky.social
Points for putting the no parking signs in the parking spaces but points deducted for blocking the sidewalk completely with these barricades. The problem is that KCMO subcontracts all this work out & have virtually no inspectors to make sure work is done correctly or within ADA rules.
And you wonder why "no one uses" the bike lanes! Its because entitled drivers like this storing their personal property whereevery they see fit, this time right in the new cycle track on SW Blvd. 📷 www.reddit.com/r/kansascity...
I did a bunch of research before buying. I've had mine since 2021 and they still look fantastic
You have to love that the new Weaver Luxury Townhouses in the crossroads advertises walkability, and then follows up with how you enter your home via a private entrance through your two car garage. Finally I can have all the benefits of a walkable neighborhood with all the isolation of a suburb!
In today's episode of having bad eyes, it turns out I have a partially paralyzed pupil AKA Mechanical Anisocoria as a consequence of my surgeries & my right eye is wide open which contributes to my light sensitivity. Dr. says it could be months before it starts working again. So this is me now!
Missouri River Trail in Riverside closed at two points due to flood damage. This effects access from Riverside to Parkville and the Morton Salt amphitheater. FYI
I'm riding a bike!!!!!!! After nearly two months I'm back on a bike, even if it is just riding a mile in a parking lot to test! Still not going to be comfortable on the road for a bit as I still can't see on the right enough, & still struggling to see things like this chain across a drive. #Excited
Kind of bummed that 1st Fridays in the Crossroads blocked the new bike path as well as Pride Fest at the Plaza was blocking the lane there as well. Not sure what the point of a bike lane is if it can't be used for riding bikes?
Don't be the person who just assumes people with disabilities can't do things. We aren't all experiencing the same disabilities. Some of us can't see, can't walk, can't speak etc etc. That doesn't mean some of us can't drive, can't ride a bike, can't walk etc. Disabilities aren't the same for all!
