For my birthday yesterday, my lovely wife commissioned this incredible drawing of our cat Luna by the artist Katia Holmes. I’m old now so I’ll cry at anything so I definitely had an emotional moment unwrapping this! Now has pride of place on the happy wall. ❤️
My wife and I had a lovely weekend in London. Spent all of Saturday at Greenwich where we managed to see loads of the parakeets that have made their homes in the park. Beautiful view from the Royal Observatory but Greenwich park isn’t looking so green at the moment.
If you’re a fan of brain-melting art, I can absolutely recommend the MC Escher exhibit at Somerset House in London at the moment. I’ve always loved Escher since I was a kid and it was so cool to see some of these works up close, including Metamorphosis II. The mirror room was fun.
My wife and I visited Greenwich today. At the National Maritime Museum (really good by the way) there were lots of exhibits where we felt like that Mitchell & Webb Nazi sketch. The British Empire really fucked up everything it touched over many centuries.

I’m glad to see the new #Supergirl film get some positive early reactions. If you’re interested in Woman Of Tomorrow, the book it’s based on, I cannot recommend it highly enough. One of the most beautiful books DC has put out this century. The art feels very 70s, retro futuristic.
I know people have big opinions on Rogue One, but this moment is one of the best in the entire #StarWars saga and probably Michael Giacchino’s finest composition. This is the way.

Luna is shedding at the moment and with the amount of cat hair on every surface of our house, we would have filled many hundreds of egg cups with lint very quickly. #Taskmaster
One of the most fun jobs I do at @wearesecretmode.com is I get to design a little pin badge whenever we release a game. I love nearly everything I do here, but honestly if my only job was designing badges I’d be really happy! 😀
All the different varieties of pasta and pizza are undeniably awesome, but I’d argue that the greatest culinary achievement from Italy is cannoli. Any flavour. Perfection. (What’s the plural of cannoli? Cannolis?)
A lovely part of Sirmione is Castello Scaligero, which isn’t huge but probably one of the most “castley” castles I’ve ever been to. It’s like if you were to ever build a castle out of Lego this is what it would look like. Proper crenellations.
There are one or two feral cat colonies in Sirmione. These two love birds set up home in a park on the east side of the town. #CatsOfBluesky #CatsOfItaly

Yesterday someone I know asked me if I was worried my beard made me look old. (She didn’t mean it unkindly). I said, I’m nearly 54 so I really don’t mind looking old. Quite happy about it to be honest. 🙂 I’m aiming for “fat Gandalf”. Just need a pointy hat and a pipe.
