Last night's movies were The US vs. Billie Holiday, and then the 158min Cannes Cut of Southland Tales. An extra 13 minutes and a very different but still completely bonkers movie, Southland Tales is my favorite July 4th movie until someone films DKM's The Last Dancer. 1/n

Arrived today: BUNNY BORG, a ttrpg combining the doom metal thousand fonts aesthetic of Mork Borg with the thousand enemies of Bunnies & Burrows. 1/n

Impulse-bought a recipe book online. Regretting and returning it because every fraction in the book is formatted like this and I can't even.

A skate park in an abandoned lot off of the city greenway has been fenced and locked off, and today they installed a fence with barbed wire across the adjacent access bridge. The workers installing the fence were wearing bandannas as face masks.

Thanks to Bluesky, last week I learned that Charles L. Grant - one of my favorite horror writers - had (under a pseudonym) written the novelization of the Hudson Hawk movie. I had to read this so I went shopping.

A work crew bulldozed and chainsawed the overgrowth on the edges of the skate park off the greenway last week. This week they're fencing in the area.
