It’s one of the rare Crypts filmed entirely on location (Vasquez Canyon, famous from “Star Trek” & a zillion other things) plus an even rarer distant location, Joshua Tree, CA, where the non-indigenous saguaro cactuses were fake… but the sandstorm was real — so I retconned it into the script!
