Playing Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana and I reckon if I picked this up on PSP back in the day I would have become an Ys head right then. Such a satisfying, story-light mashy RPG. My cat tried to swat Adol a bunch though.

Continuing my Halo-enjoying with Halo 2. Thanks to audio being broken in the old visuals mode I’m playing in Anniversary mode. It looks nice but far out, the mood is totally different when switching between the two sometimes.

Finished Halo CE for the first time in over a decade and yeah it mostly still rips. Some of the later levels are a chore and full of repeated layouts and tedious platforming bits (??? Why ???) but a cool ending sequence makes up for a lot of issues.

Precisely, yeah. It works really well in the short tests I’ve done. Removes a layer of scaling that makes quite a big difference to how it appears on screen. (Will be a bigger difference on console since the screenshots don’t show the scaling artifacts a Switch console does)

2. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of the Patriots A little less incredible to play than I remember (it blew my mind open as a teen) but the ideas are still salient, relevant. The idea of leaving a mark on the world beyond your genes through culture and what was important to us particularly hits.
