I threw in a “and tell her not to confirm any lifetime judicial nominees too! They’re all shitty people, whether witty or not!”
Happy Bastille Day from these two pre-cell phone kids taking a selfie! I think this is 1994? View of the Eiffel Tower through the Pont Alexandre III bridge
Clive definitely not posing nicely in front of the pretty flowers on campus but chewing something so he looks like he’s sort of smiling
Felix, least trustworthy dog, was shocked (this is an approximation of his attitude from another time at the unofficial dog park)
Clive, my usual very good boy who always obeys, ran across and out of the unofficial dog park today, crossed a street and ran out of sight for probably a block before he came back. He acted like someone he knew called him, but I saw no one. Luckily it was early enough in the day so nothing happened
You can tell my Martha Stewart recipe is well used by the condition of the pages. You can substitute all kinds of things but this is still my favorite combo. My husband sous vided and seared fresh tuna, but honestly this is just as good with canned.
When I was walking the dogs, a tree just ahead had some very angry birds in it. Right when we got near it, this hawk flew out of the tree into this nearby rooftop. He’s pretending he did nothing wrong
MInnesota State Fair Crop art horse? This is not my horse, but it is my photo.
Same for my dogs. Last night, Clive did what seemed good, puking up his dinner outside. But he did this in the middle of the neighbors’ sidewalk, right under a step, and I couldn’t just leave it there. Rotten beasties
Hey locals — what’s an infiltration area? Looked like a bunch of weeds and maybe native plants. Once the dogs found out it said keep off, they really wanted on 🤣
We didn’t get Wednesday awoos, but we got Wednesday walkies with pipers!
It is the time of lilies and muppet flowers and daisies and show-off roses
The kids’ chalk mural still looks pretty cool, even after rain and storms in the last couple of weeks
Happy 250th USA! We are an imperfect nation, but I’m happy to still be able to participate in it. Let’s all work to make it better, so everyone truly has the same rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Early primary voting is open now in MN—vote!
My dog Felix tried to chomp a firefly that lit up in front of his face last night. No proof of Felix but proof of life of the firefly at about 10 o’clock two feet from the manhole at the end of the clip
Ooh I need to read that. One of the first two records I bought as a teen (the other was Never Mind the Bullocks). Probably one of the few albums I know all the lyrics to. Later I thought my first communion photo had similar vibes as the Violent Femmes album cover
Teenie buns next door on the other side of the fence. So far the mama did her job and distracted my dogs so they didn’t see the babies and instead watched where she went. If Felix thought about it, he’d realize he could jump the fence. So far he hasn’t thought about it…
I told the boys it was now or never for walkies today, so off we went in the rain. We are lucky to have so much tree cover—we didn’t get very wet. #mnwx #beattheheat
Yes weather app I’d like to report an issue: the weather sucks #mnwx
My canvas board didn’t fit in my frame, so cutting it down was step one….but I’ve finally started sketching out my crop art!
