Having finished The Tenant of Wildfell Hall by Anne Bronte (finally), I am reading the Ilintroduction for helpful insights about what I just read. The introduction is by Stevie Davies.

I have a mammogram appt, 12 dys from now. My tip: I make an excel sheet, reducing coffee, tea, etc., each day...down to zero by day of the mammgm. I also take an extra-strength Tylenol 1 hour before appt. This has changed the mammogram from a traumatic ordeal to a moderate ordeal for me.

I was fascinated to see the Chappe optical telegraph in last night's episode of The Count of Monte Cristo, @pbs.org . The Count spread false news by drugging the telegraph operator. Think how much mischief he could have done with Internet access. The series, directed by Bille August, is excellent.
