Heck yeah! Mega Man 7 blitzed in one stream! Really short and sweet RetroAchievement set, barring Slash Man: Lord of Buffalo Wild Wings, and his ceiling sauce attack of doom. Ending the first Mega Man RA marathon here to move to other games for a while, but I'd say this was a great note to end on
🌠STREAM SCHEDULE🌠 Starting up Mega Man 7's RetroAchievement on Tuesday after some previous game-related setbacks, and hopefully picking up on the final act of Trails of Cold Steel II on Thursday!
Personally not a fan of Dark Paladin's second artwork. The original has really cool dynamic posing going for it, but the alt. art makes it look like he was asked to do his best American Gothic impression for the camera.
Oh thank god, I'm free from the Mega Man 6 torment nexus (ignore the fact I have 8 achievements remaining. those are baby ones). I'm gonna go have leftover pasta now and detox from the fresh hell I just went through
Found the best use case of my dual-monitor setup- Watching both livestreams from the Vancouver Aquarium's sea otter exhibit simultaneously
#18 - Mega Man Star Force 2: Zerker x *Saurian* This was actually the first Star Force game I played years ago, so kinda a "full-circle" moment, completing this one. Narratively a step or two down from SF1, but a step up in terms of gameplay. Can't wait to play SF3 next! ...after a small break.
Went to a Mega Man Trivia Game panel at Momocon last night- -shoutouts to the two that showed up to supply custom Biometals for prizing! Won a Model Z and got Model L from @infielderseth.bsky.social . One step closer to becoming the King of the Mega Men...
R3 - Branded Magistus Dracotail (1-2, 🎲❌️) G1 opened Cooky, Droplet, and SPoly without Mudragon, so not much I could do here. G2 Got Nib'd, but Arthalion made it 5k ATK, so I was wielding an atomic bomb into my opponent's weak board. G3 Double Droplet, and some low-impact handtraps. Riiiip GGs
R2 - Kewl Tune (1-2, 🎲✅️) G1 opened Lurie, had no way into my Yummy line, and got Ash'd on my Requiem. G2 managed to build a full board, and ate through every interaction gradually with pops, SPoly and Called By. G3 they were able to read my full hand, letting them play through my known Droplet.
R1 - Sky Striker Mitsurugi (2-1, 🎲❌️) G1 didn't open enough to break through 5 backrow + Zero. G2, opponent ate my Solemn with a Lightning Storm, then Droplet my board, but missed an Albion trigger with F&V. G3, I Fuwa'd, Belle'd them, forcing too much in their Draw Phase, scooping after. (:
Gonna try doing a locals thread for tonight. Testing the waters with Fiendsmith Yummy against Kewl Tune format. Have a lot of hate for the deck boarded in, so curious to see how well this ends up working out. 🤔
list I've been playing- -it's just TeleDAD. lol Glad I've resisted the urge to de-craft a few of these URs. Never play them otherwise, but love having them around for these events specifically.
*(Playing Time Travel 2008 on Master Duel)* "Man, this hand sucks. All monsters, and a Destiny Draw with no discard." >Draw for turn >Malicious off the top
#17 - Mega Man DXtreme Fun reimagining of Xtreme 1- -gameplay felt very fluid, and I liked a lot of the stage changes. That said, I feel some of the boss changes were a bit... much? Some of the new attacks come out way too fast to properly react, and the new final boss is *especially* obnoxious.
#16 - Kamen Rider Double *Finally* finished this one. Watched with friends starting back in 2025, and Double has been such a fun ride. Love the premise, the Sonozakis are great villains, and Shotaro & Philip are an S-Tier duo.
Fun thing to note that "Archfiend's Origin" appears to be a reference to the old Bandai version of Summoned Skull. Note the Level being 7 instead of the usual 6, and being *very* pink.
Pulled these from 6 boxes of Rarity Collection V. Really fun experience, but yeah, think I'll just order my Purges online. 😅
Crazy you can just buy an old Yugioh manga from two decades ago and still find the promo card inside.
Ran out of coffee at the house, so treated myself to one of my favorite spots today.
#15 - Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, Season 2 Great follow-up to Season 1, though definitely more lowkey. Enjoyed the main trio's dynamic, and the Revolte fight is easily my favorite one in the show so far. Looking forward to Season 3. In more ways than 1, this show has been something special. (;
#14 - Mega Man Star Force Dragon It begins. I've never beaten a game in the Star Force series before. Had a bias against them over BN as a kid after playing SF2 once and hating it. Years later, and starting with the first game, I can say my opinion has begun to shift greatly, and for the better.
#13 - The Super Mario Galaxy Movie This would have done better critically if it was not explicitly framed as a Galaxy movie. It pulls from a *lot* of games. Was very flashy and fun, but felt unfocused. Very curious to see what SM3 ends up being with some of the lore implications and cameos shown.
#12 - Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island (100%) Been playing this off and on on my own time, and I'm kinda surprised at how brutal this one was to complete. More Monkey Madness was a particularly traumatic experience. Black melon seeds on a mostly black background? Euuugh.
#11 - .hack//INFECTION - Part 1 (RetroAchievements) Catching up on the media thread, since I forgot to the past two months. Fun game. Will probably go back in to grind a bit more before moving on to Part 2, but for now, have the main story complete, and mastery of the main RA set.
