Rescue kittens are growing quick. The stand for the scratching post didn’t last a week so I made a new one out of scrap and they are all over it again.

Kittens that showed up at our driveway last week are easily entertained. No need to buy them any toys.

Minne is all about driving.

Hudson surveying the valley. He’s out traveling right now rousting coyotes; his favorite pastime. He’s not out to fight them but rather by presenting himself push them away from the farm.

This is our Hudson. He’s done the same. He kept creeping up on me while I was working on the farm like a ghost in the night. Finally we couldn’t say no any longer and brought him on board.

Very impressive. I’ve been going thru a gallon a day for a couple months now. Last summer I got to 2+. Cleaning those feeders takes constant work so I keep several extras and rotate them. I also get woodpeckers and orioles who enjoy the wine.

Are girls hatched six chicks for us to raise. They’re pretty cute.

I was going to clean my roof’s solar panels this afternoon but with all these turkey vultures visiting I’m a bit intimidated.

A few friends came by to visit today.

Maggie is helping me babysit a day old chick with a wound.

Chicks hatching is a fun time.

This is my niece and several of the gals that support her missions in the F-15 Strike Eagle behind her. She is part of the Madhatters squadron while the downed airmen were from the Panthers. The four squadrons are all based in Lackenheath and they work closely together. The rescue was real.

The epiphyllum “Soft Lights” was just that this morning!

Rocky made a friend. Not many deer running loose around SoCal so she was likely looking for a friend too.
