Who left all this garbage out here? This is perfectly good trash. Hiking fan & solo game dev. Nothing I post uses any AI Check out the devlog for my upcoming game, Poisoned Gravity!
New PB for Cactus Canyon! Finally got that table down. Crazy how much better I am at pinball just having the pinone controller instead of a gamepad. It feels way more real but more than that, the buttons are a lot easier to feather the flippers with than like, shoulder buttons ever were.
Spent a good 10 mins trying to figure out why I named an idle animation for a zero-g treadmill "Babette's Feast" p sure I must have had the wrong window active when I was looking for it on criterion channel a few months back and renamed it? who can say
And you only really have to do minimal clean-up in Blender (Blender is better than any tool I've used at cross-seam blending and smudging), and occasional work in Aseprite if I need some more precise image work.
The main reason I'm so into Texelizer right now is that it's one of the only tools that doesn't feel like it's fighting against me when I want to use a 256 texture. Even for a simple mesh like this one, it's a lot easier to be expressive when the tools are made to work at the resolutions you want.
it's kinda funny how much harder it is doing UVs and texturing low texel density meshes compared to high-res stuff. Slapping down a stack of megascan layers and painting some masks is easier than making sure your UVs are pixel-perfect and hand painting details when every little pixel is so huge.
Made a kirby ball decal for VPX too! First you set your ball decal to kirby Then you set the ball image to black Disable ball lighting And presto, it's Kirby!
Ended up taking the soft side of some leftover adhesive velcro to dampen the solenoids and they're perfect now! Ok slightly too loud to use after dark, but not bad at all. Wife and I have been passing it back and forth this evening and having a blast with it.
I wish i had waited like 2 mins to post cuz I realized it looked a lot better with the lid ring filled in.
Made a quick cooler for my game while Dwarf Fortress created a new world. Very excited to try out the dino update that just dropped! Really feel like I found a good workflow for texturing now, Texelizer was the missing piece. Getting my texture time down to a reasonable amount per mesh now.
i think that's just a type of stylized giant chui, which itself is kind of just the Chinese word for any kind of like, mace or flail. There are some real crazy ones out there! I esp think meteor hammers are cool.
i continue to be surprised at how the seltzers are like, the only Guy Fieri-branded thing that's good
Trying out Texelizer on one of my older meshes for this project. Pretty cool how cohesive it can look for very little time investment! Baked AO and Curviture masks w/ manual adjustments, some palette color fill, smoothed noise for variation and it's pretty decent! Really good texture paint tool!
