Southern Armed Forces precision drone strikes targeted Houthi barracks and military hardware across northern Al-Dhale, South Yemen front (Bab Ghalaq, Al-Fakhir, Murais). The strikes inflicted heavy casualties and countered Houthi reinforcements along the line of contact.

What’s happening in South Yemen. On March 6, 2025 the President of the Southern Transitional Council started an extensive tour to all the Southern governorates, along with the Southern ministers. They inaugurated Ataq Airport in Shabwa and Abdul Kuri Airport in Socotra.

Today marks the 3rd anniversary of the liberation of Bayhan, Usaylan, & Ain districts, in Shabwah province, South Yemen, from Houthi control. On Jan. 1, 2022, the Southern Defense Forces launched Operation "Southern Tornado" to reclaim Bayhan, successfully pushing the Houthis out within 10 days.

On Dec. 1, AQAP attacked the Security Belt’s Backup & Support 3rd Brig. in Wadi Omran, Abyan, South Yemen. The assault was repelled. 2 days later, on the night of Dec. 3, AQAP struck again, this time targeting SB’s Backup & Support 2nd Brig. The attack was repelled, with AQAP suffering heavy losses.

Today, the #UNSC unanimously renewed the UN sanctions regime for #Yemen. Unfortunately, the United Nations Security Council did not adopt more decisive measures to degrade the Houthis’ capabilities, especially as Houthi aggression continues to escalate.

A suicide car bomb carried out by AQAP targeted the military barracks of the Security Belt Backup and Support Forces' 3rd Brigade in Mudiyah, Abyan.
