Our full statement on the demolition of the Midway CVS🏚️ The short version: Its time we start thinking boldly with Land Value Tax to ensure this property, which has enormous potential, doesn't remain an empty lot for long.
Drive thrus generate roughly half the per-acre tax value of comparable non-drive-through commercial uses. Near transit, they undermine the immense fiscal potential of transit-oriented development. These concerns compound with safety concerns for pedestrians and drivers alike.🚶♀️🚗
