Just got back home to MA after spending the winter down south, opened the fridge drawer to find this petrified clementine and immediately thought “And how was YOUR day, Edward?” #OFMD #StedeBonnet

A sad little lonely, abandoned, dried-out to the point of being petrified clementine sits on the top part of the plastic veggie drawer in the fridge, among the onion skin remains (that the photographer cleaned up after taking the photo!) It looks like a tiny shrunken head and immediately calls to mind the “buried treasure” Stede Bonnet finds beneath the tree in Jim’s childhood orchard.

The petrified clementine sits forlornly on the granite countertop.

I mean, shit. The freaking illegible time is right over Little Joe’s face too. And wow I hate these new fonts. Ugh.

The wallpaper on my phone’s lock screen is a picture of my two schnauzers, looking up from the yoga mat pathways we had throughout our house because little Joe (top left) was partially paralyzed and needed traction so as not to slip. The time on the phone reads 9:12 but damn it’s hard to see.

Got there. Arrived 25 mins early and sat in the shade way off to the side. We stayed for about 20 mins into the rally but moved back to the street when the crowd swelled to encompass our no longer secluded spot. My energy ran out about 20 mins after that, but I! Was! There!! #NoKings Sarasota FL

Hello. I was a woman lead singer of a band I started in Boston in 1979 called Sensible Shoes. (Formerly called Fazzone.) I went to all of our gigs. Plus Robin Lane & the Chartbusters Blondie Face to Face GrooveLily

I just found this from the Anthropic FAQ page over @authorsguild.org “If you already filed a Claim Form online, you do not need to also respond to the notice.”

How will I be notified if I am eligible?
Beginning October 2, 2025, you can check the searchable Works List to see if your works are included in the settlement. If so, you can complete the Claim Form on the website. You should also receive a formal class notice by mail and/or email from the Settlement Administrator. If you already filed a Claim Form online, you do not need to also respond to the notice. Direct notice will be completed by November 24, 2025 (the “Notice End Date”), though many authors may hear sooner.

I voted for liberal progressives in my local election by mail. We forego the “I voted” sticker for the convenience.
