i posted a review of nioh 3 that tragically got popular because it was a rare review of mechanical complaints, which means it attracts Steam Posters, who i think may truly be the unspoken worst posters on the internet, actually being able to facetank enemies means i'm really good at nioh i guess

This is probably the complete state of the fortress, if only because going further is getting deeper and deeper into FPS death territory. Having a bastion formation on the surface is incredibly good at defending a fortress. I highly recommend it.
I am now able to confirm that a Star Fort design of fortress in Dwarf Fortress is in fact extremely capable of siege-breaking by itself. A bolt thrower (two on the cardinal points) on each point on the star, 3 Z levels above the ground in front of fortifications is basically perfectly safe.
my current dwarf fortress is me doing my best to create a star fort, which has the advantage of being very aesthetically pleasing. granted, i built it kinda wrong, as the center shouldn't have a keep, but i wanted to build a round tower as well, so we're looking at a star fort around a tower
This was a Day 16 victory. Deadly Fort, Obsidian Snowmobile, Shiny Igloo, Radiant Sapphire, and Stopwatch. That igloo had a snowflake used on it, too, so it was freeze 3 items for 2 seconds 3 times. This was probably the funniest run I've ever done and I'm glad it was on stream.

I finally had a draw in this game based on two players becoming infinitely resilient and not being able to die to the sandstorm. Also finally had another gold victory in the new patch; I think pig's currently pretty weak in it, unfortunately.
perspective artists who are drawing armor: there is one trick to making it look better pretty much always. think about how you wear it. how it moves and how it hangs off of you, because some parts of armor do hang off of you - upper-arm armor in particular fundamentally fights against gravity
