Book recommendation: The short stories and central novel in Stag Dance by Torrey Peters, includes a mix of sci fi, gothic fiction, and navigates fetish, fantasy, and gender identity often within different landscapes of masculine socialized spaces and conflicted desires.
Grateful to be more physically myself and to be joining friends for the No Kings March! NYers really showed up with signs that covered so many of the terribleness that demands protest, as well as the many causes and values that deserve protection and care!

Finished this great (and timely) exploration of all things (including downfalls) of the Roman emperors by Mary Beard. Discussed not chronological but in chapters grouped by different categories very effectively - with her trademark wit and abundance of historical narratives it is fascinating read

I’ve been working on “We Honor and Remember the 43,310 Killed by Gun Violence in the U.S. in 2023” - (back and front views). This is the fourth memorial garment annual memorial garments arising from my ongoing research and gathering of names and histories for Gays Against Guns

Starting small portraits of Queer Artist Ancestors with this piece honoring Candy Darling! I’m using trapunto technique: stitch on the top layer, cut an opening in the backing, and then stuff the shape, stitch closed the back; here the face has a more sculptural relief quality as a result. 🪡🧵❤️⭐️👏
