DEIRDRE no. 6 - "HEAVY LIFTING"

any resemblances to actual mid-size southern college towns is purely coincidental

panel 1 – rental moving truck moving toward a city shrouded in trees. A highway sign says “EXIT – YAUPON CITY”

panel 2 – Sam excitedly walking down the steps of their house with open arms to greet Deirdre, who has just arrived in the truck. His shirt says DYKE MARCH 2023.
S: “Deirdre!”
D: “Howdy!”

panel 3 – Sam is introducing Deirdre to Miguel, a bear with curly hair wearing a polo shirt, and Deonna, who wears a striped shirt and cargo shorts.
S: “This is Miguel, my boyfriend. And you met Deonna over the phone.”
M & Deonna: “Hey!”
S: “They’ve both volunteered to help you get moved in.”

D: “Oh! Thanks y’all, but I should be able to handle it…”
S: “Deirdre, we’re not about to let you move a truck full of stuff by yourself.”

DEIRDRE no. 5 - "ROAD TRIP BLUES"

D: "No, I'm good... actually, where is the bathroom?"

panel 2: Deirdre nervously walks into the ladies' room, thinking "It's just a women's bathroom in a BBQ joint in a rural town in the South. What's the worst that could happen?"

panel 3: Deidre sits on the toilet, imagining a newspaper with the headline TRANSSEXUAL ARRESTED FOR PISS CRIMES

Anyway, you're hear for a description of the image, so let me tarry no further.
