Official Tomb Raider Fanpage ;) This is a space for documenting my hyperfixation over a fictional character. Expect dank Tomb Raider memes and content. I take a lot of photos of Lara Croft. I'm in the tomb raider ofp but opinions are my own.
Kinda wanna tell TE Croft to shove this letter up his ass. This does not instill in me a desire to achieve a higher purpose, but rather ignites in me the visceral angst of a teenager in need of rebellion. I'm starting to side with the "plunderers and grave robbers".
Again, I firmly believe this is a case of "We weren't originally gonna evolve her to classic lara but we changed our minds but we also want her to still be survivor lara". I am very eager to see how Alix strikes this balance. Make me believe it. Make me feel it in my soul.

"Your games on the big screen." I repeatedly feel like I am the only person in the world who knows you can plug a PC into your TV.
What I think is so funny about "for the girls, for the guys, for the gays" pissing people off is that she literally explicitly states that tomb raider is for dudes too and yet it somehow still invokes a "tomb raider was always for men and you can't take it from us" battle cry.
I think it's fucking cool that they've kept this scar beneath her right eye ever since she got pistol whipped in the face by creepy Vlad on Yamatai. Thus far this is the highest/clearest shot of the scar on the LoA model that we've seen.
I just think this gameplay looks extremely fucking cool. It's this perfect balance between gritty desperation that we know from survivor era but now coated in a new classic inspired paint of competence, elegance, and control. I do buy her as evolved survivor lara y'all idk.

Why Shadow is important (despite its flaws): Post yamatai, lara has become the hunter who struggles with reckless OVER confidence leading to massive tragedy. This is a brilliant (and critical) developmental stepping stone between desperate newbie and calm/cool veteran.
As I've said before, the whole fanbase now is fighting over this version of Lara and trying to claim her as their own. Like it or not, Crystal Dynamics appears to have pulled off the unification. Let's see where this goes. 6/6
I just don't really like the shorts + boots outfit. To me they just look a bit silly and costumish. But Lara Croft can wear whatever the hell she wants and need not ask me. 5/?

Survivor Lara has finally 'become the tomb raider'. The transition was bumpy and poorly planned (she should have shown some of these traits in Shadow for a smooth and believable evolution). But that ship sailed long ago, so diving in balls deep like this is definitely best. 3/?
Firstly, are these all the same model? Clearly not. But I buy it as an evolved survivor lara embracing more classic aesthetic tastes combined with natural variations in art direction across eras. And I'm really happy they kept the scar (which they clearly did). 2/?

In my house, I have a simple rule when it comes to wall art. Have as much as you like so long as at least 50 percent of it is Lara Croft.

I think my favorite moment in sacred artifacts #2 is how Lara simply temporarily takes off the pendant when she notices it doesn't match with one of her outfits. Such an easy thing to do, but somehow as fans, we never consider this possibility. 😂
