This past weekend I checked out the Toronto Arabic Festival. I got this cute handmade watermelon crochet from one of the vendors, The Olive Tree. They're a Palestinian-Canadian business and 10% of their revenue goes towards the Palestine Children's Relief Fund. Their website: freetheolivetree.com

Got asked why I was wearing a mask in this 40+°C heatwave. Told them I have a chronic illness, they apologized for asking. Wearing one even without having a chronic illness is still beneficial, since COVID & other airborne viral illnesses are floating about. The downside is the sweat and tan lines 😆

About Friday Night. Got to watch Blue Heron, a beautiful and moving film. Highly recommend! There was also post-screening Q&A with director Sophy Romvari, moderated by David Cronenberg.

The body text reads:
"Almost all of these take place in his time with the Miami Heat and Phoenix Suns.

Ty Lue claims that when rookie Devean George failed to bring donuts to a team meeting, Shaq retaliated by defecating in George's shoe just before a game.

Multiple former teammates, including Gary Payton, claim that shaq would save a weeks worth of his urine and feces, before pouring it on rookies unprovoked.

At random, Shaq would defecate in his hand and display it to teammates.

One particular target was veteran teammate Lou Amundson. Amundson liked to ride his bike to the arena, and it started with Shaq hiding his bike from him. It then progressed to stealing Amundson’s toothbrush and stirring it in his rectum before putting it back. It is unknown if this toothbrush was used by Amundson after the incident. Then, Shaq stirred Amundsons mouth guard in his rectum and threatened teammates with the same fate if they snitched. Amundson wore the mouthguard in a game the next day. After the game, Matt Barnes told Amundson, "Anything in your locker room has probably been in Shaq's ass. Throw it all away"

Tomorrow will be the sixth year anniversary of when my first symptoms of my Long COVID (LC) started and the screenshot of text is all I have to say for it. I would be posting it tomorrow but with my LC memory loss, I might forget, so posting it today 😆

Text that reads the following: When I am considerate and accommodating as can be for others to be able to live, and for them to live as freely and happily as possible, I am not granted the same by them. I suffer in silence but not because I'm not heard, but because I'm not listened to. When I speak up to be considered, I am selfish and not being considerate for others, for their livelihood. So, I pretend and go through the motions of what they already expect from me. But I am not living. I am not allowed to live in order for them to live. I am only allowed to only exist and can only exist for their happiness and their reputation. But If I disappear, I am selfish for ruining their happiness, their reputation, their livelihood. Yet, despite all of this, they keep telling me to live.

It is why I no longer fight for myself. I see no reason to. I keep changing for them but they never change for me. Their is no value to my life except to exist for their happiness, their reputation, and their livelihood. It is the truth, whether they admit to it or not.

Now, I will fight, just not for myself. I will fight for the ones that want everyone to live as freely and happily as possible. I will fight for the ones who are considerate and accommodating to everyone, so everyone can live as freely and happily as possible. And, that is the world I hope that can one day exist.

Year 5 of making mooncakes instead of buying them. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! 🥮🌕🍂 Made 2 Cantonese mooncakes: Salted egg yolk & lotus seed for one, the other with lotus seed & durian. As well, Thousand Layer mooncakes with salted egg yolk & purple sweet potato filling. #baking #ChinesePastry
