Anarchist living in the Jersey suburbs. "What would Jane Jacobs do?"
I always wonder about this and I was quite pleased that the Turtle Back Zoo just put it right out there so I could learn. Here it is, in case you yourself wondered about the difference.
I don't know what I did with this tie... But I don't think my current employer would appreciate.
Sometimes English is stupid alone. My other bugaboo is "Bless you", so many atheists say it, almost accepting the premise. I forced myself to change to 'salud' a decade ago.
Phew this tweet is only getting more true every year. What are the odds of a worldwide economic collapse in 3 years and 2 months?
At some point you get too old to fake being nice, and apparently that age is based on when your kid will absorb the information.
I send my daughter to school for the social interactions that we can't replicate easily with home schooling. But pushing kids through inflexible learning timelines based on their birth month was always an authoritarian plot. It's not how people learn.
Here was a swing-and-a-miss meme that I created. Nobody else thought this about the end of Season 1 of True Detective?
I made a mouse pad of this graphic some years back. I may still have it. WWJJD?
Not really. It's because some rich dudes were able to monopolize land speculation on a grander scale and this made it look like it was "planned".
On the one hand, this is classic for comparison. On the other hand, damn, it's sad how long we've had to put up with the rapist orangsicle.
I spent way too long making this meme a decade ago after one of the times my daughter spit up on my face.
Flashback to March '22: Washington Post headline: "Senate candidate Herschel Walker questions evolution, asking, 'Why are there still apes?'" If only he had access to the internet and could look things up! Maybe we should make internet access for everyone a universal right. youtu.be/wh0F4FBLJRE
8 years ago, having long hair meant I could dress up as the Dude, which I did for random karaoke nights in addition to Halloween.
My wife had bookmarks made for me. Me, to random stranger on the train: "No, sorry, it's not about Jesus. There are two Js. Jane Jacobs. Like Jesus, she stood against the established order and was underappreciated in her time. Do you have a moment to hear about the miracle of import replacement?"
