#Bullet Witch (Class Archetype)

The strange practices of witches have a tendency to be inscrutable to outsiders, the strange connection they share with their patrons often putting them at odds with others. Stranger still are the Bullet Witches who seemed to have appeared with the advent of firearms, as if they had always been there. Some suspect that they were the ones that taught the secrets of blackpowder that allowed firearms to proliferate as rapidly as they have. Truth or rumor, remains unclear but it is clear that the bullet witches are at home with firearms just as much as they are with the magic, both workings of their craft.

Stranger still are the familiar firearms they call their own, mysterious gifts from their patrons that are at one, as their name suggests, familiar and firearm. These strange devices have a mind of their own and often take on creature-like forms when not needed in their weaponized form, though aspects of their nature remain intact.

You are one such bullet witch, a wielder of a familiar firearm and a practitioner of hex bullets. Your blending of bullet play and spellcraft take firearms to another level using them to not just bring the hurt to your opponents but hexes as well.

For the record this is the kind of thing I'm talking about when I mentioned toolkits for #Pathfinder2e Inventor. Provides the item bonus, gives something specific for the class and has greater versions going up to +3 with the effect getting better as well.

With a loving gesture you signal to an ally to show your feelings for each other on the battlefield. You and the targeted ally Stride up to 10 feet towards each other. If you are adjacent to one another at the end of this movement, you explode. All enemies within a 10 foot emanation centered on you take 2d6 force damage with a basic Reflex save. Creatures that critically fail the save are also knocked prone.
#Special If you and the targeted ally are in love, are in a relationship (such as married), or are the subjects of a ritual that binds you in love (such as the *heart bond* ritual) the emanation increases to 20 feet and you may choose to do fire damage instead.

#Heightened (+1) The force or fire damage increases by 1d6.

Smashing your fists together you hold the sound and amplify it into a sonic force to unleash at your target. Make a spell attack roll against the target’s AC, dealing 2d8 sonic damage on a hit. If the target is within your melee reach you can choose to make a melee spell attack with the sonic force instead of a ranged spell attack, which increases all the spell’s damage dice to d10s.
#Critical Success The target takes double damage and is pushed back 5 feet.
#Success The target takes full damage.

#Heightened (+1) The sonic damage increases by 1d8.

If your next action is to make a ranged Strike with your familiar firearm or Cast a spell with the attack trait, you gain a +2 circumstance bonus to the attack roll and ignore the target’s concealed condition. If the target is hidden, reduce the flat check from being hidden from 11 to 5. Let it begin! Two feats to begin with (feedback welcome) one for Overdrive so you can skip rolling on those low threat encounters where you just want your Overdrive going. The other is for Unstable actions where if you fail on the flat check it locks out that action not all Unstable actions.

You’ve tinkered with your innovation and figured out how to partition off the most unstable parts so one failing doesn’t cause a cascade failure. When you fail on the flat check for an unstable action, instead of not being able to use any more unstable actions, only that unstable action becomes unusable. For example if you have Explode and Explosive Leap, if you use Explode and fail the flat check you can no longer use Explode but can still use Explosive Leap.
