Fantasized with a colleague today about teaching at university 30 years ago, and I accidentally coined the phrase "trad prof."
I just used Bits and Mortar for the first time to get a PDF version of Cluster Truck, to go with the physical copy I bought from Game Nerdz. If you haven't asked your FLGS about Bits and Mortar, you should! So many publishers support it, and it doesn't cost stores anything! bits-and-mortar.com
C'mon people. I sweat about accidentally putting the wrong release dates on my lecture slides with movie clips. A 100% real quote: "Oh, sorry gang, I know that says 1919, but Defending Your Life came out in 1991."
We need a hero of an actor to change their contract so that it stipulates that their likeness appears above their name.
When I went to do the same thing on my Pixel, the word "fingerprint" brought up exactly what I needed. C'mon Apple! How is Google doing better at this than you? All the basic stuff on the Mac that used to "just work" mostly doesn't work anymore.
On my MacBook, I typed "fingerprint" into the search field in System Settings. No result. I then remembered that it's called "Touch ID" on the Mac. I typed "touch" and got no results. I finally found the location with a web search.
An excellent Father's Day outing with the family tonight! Also, 4pm show filled quickly, then, the good seats for 7pm got snapped up. Last I checked, no tickets had been sold for 9pm. Dads are too old and tired for a 9pm show!
Ok, it's becoming a runner. For the past few months, it seems like almost every visitor to the Criterion Closet has picked Defending Your Life. I love that such a broad spectrum of creative people hold this movie, like I do, close to their hearts. #FaceYourFear #tupa youtu.be/FDm1avEBSBM?...
My kid took me to see Russian horror-surf-rock band Messer Chups last night. They were awesome! She also took me to see Meute, a German techno marching band. She knows what I will like and just gets us tickets. My wife does this, too. So far, they both have a 100% hit rate! messer-chups.bandcamp.com
After cancelling Xbox Game Pass, I busted out the physical discs to go back and finish (ie start over) games that I purchased and enjoyed, but never completed. First up was The Last Guardian, followed by God of War, which I just finished. Next up, I'm back to the Xbox Series X for Dishonored 2!
