The woven cotton ribbon gives the books a nice little headband. This is one of the first I made like this:

We changed our book binding method! It's back to pva bookbinding glue with notched spines. They also now have woven cotton ribbon for spine support and muslin fabric for the hinge. They are turning out great, and I hacked bulk binding so making them is much faster and easier on me.

Just washed 74 more pairs of pieces for leaf wallets! Double ren faire starts in a month, and I'm gonna try to send some leaf wallet stock to a friend who runs booths at other faires this fall. I'm doing a lot of jumping jacks to quell the panic.

Not as an exclusive thing, but some wireless earbud cases will fit in our large leaf wallets (the black oak shape is the largest of all). Small wired/ Bluetooth earbuds with no charging case definitely fit. They're made of soft, hand painted cork leather with a protective finish.

Taking photos where one plant or type of plant structure repeats off into the distance makes my brain so happy. It's like a scavenger hunt for a sufficiently dense clustering. The plant ID app I use suggests this is ground ivy- if you know plants and that's wrong, LMK 💚 #nature #spring

I'm still proud of how this turned out. The composition was a lot more complex than my usual, and even though perspective isn't my strong suit I think it worked out well! This is a sketch I made to get the composition to feel right.
