*** Latest Corpse Flower News! *** 4/28/26 1135 - Extended Run! The flower seems to be closing up and fading a bit, but if you missed it yesterday, it's still worth seeing.

In a greenhouse full of tropical plants is a cubical wooden box about two feet on an edge, labeled "TAMAN". A yellow spike about six feet tall extends upward from it. The lower third is partially veiled in four large sepals, green on the outside and a dark dusty rose on the interior. To the right, a white haired man wearing a green polo shirt, and over that a blue apron labeled "Plaint Information Service", is talking to out-of-frame visitors.

About five feet tall, a yellow pointed spike projects out of a green base with a floral ring, maybe three feet across, purplish brown on the exposed upper surface. This is in a greenhouse setting, with other tropical plants around; spectators are on an elevated level in the background. A worker with a grey t-shirt is bent over the base of the flower, beneath the ring.

15/10, highly recommended

A smallish dog, white with brown markings and a straightish tail, maybe a terrier of some kind. It is wearing a thin white t-shirt like thing with a fist drawn it in green marker and the words "BITE The POWER".

It is looking away from the camera, which is a pity. I wanted to get its eyes in the shot, which were yellow and conveyed just the right blend of cuteness and menace.

At Edgewater #NoKings a guy on a skateboard was in the street and trying to get everyone to join him. About five cop cars came for him and chased him and tackled him, blocking the street themselves

Chicago: evidence of wind (Also, you may have seen the home in the background on TV before -- it starred as "Funeral Home" in Season 4 of Fargo)

A large bough has been ripped off a tree near the viewer and flung into the street. The attached part, possibly two feet across, lies on the grass on the near left. The main bough, approximately thirty feet long, extends right into the middle of the street and then curves upward about twelve feet. There are also other smaller debris pieces scattered in the street.

In the foreground, a street light has been damaged by the bough, which has knocked down an ornamental lamp that was attached by a horizontal bracket.
