It's nicknamed by a lot of residents in the neighborhood, 'the dungeon,' "Because it seriously is just this black building that looms over us."

Rows of industrial air conditioners on the roof of the data center constantly hum and exhaust from metal chimneys that rise from the data center's emergency generators flow toward his people's homes.

Markley has two data centers in Massachusetts. They built their first on top of Macy's in downtown Boston in 2013.

here's a streetview of the Trans Am Totem sculpture, near False Creek, when it was unveiled in 2015 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trans_A... It does give one pause for thought.

Trans Am Totem sculpture, created by Marcus Bowcott, and part of the Vancouver Biennale, was unveiled in April 2015. Standing 10 metres high and located near False Creek, Vancouver, British Columbia, the sculpture is made from junked cars stacked atop a base made from a tree trunk. The sculpture was dismanted in August 2021, to be reinstalled at a new location later.

Bowcott has stated that the piece is a "sculptural response" to the urban site. It is as much a "celebration" of our mobility and technology as it is a critique of "throwaway consumer culture".
