I feel like Digital Circus in Fortnite should clue people in that "Hey, maybe Glitch ain't quite as indie as we thought"

As if the company being formed by people who were already rich off of SMG4, their shows getting funding from Epic Games, the fact that they're working with people who already had a big online presence instead of smaller creators who would benefit much more from the exposure, being able to get a name as big as Dana Terrace to make a show for them, them getting bigger and bigger budgets off of only merch sales and YouTube ad revenue even leading to a theatrical release and multiple pop up stores in Japan.

As if all that didn't quite clue people in on it yet, I'd hope this at least would.

And if you're wondering "why does it matter if they're indie or not?" They're the biggest company with that label and they're not even using it correctly, so if little jimmy has a dream of making his own cartoon and sees the big budget company larping as indie instead of something made by one guy in their free time as the example of what's indie, it's gonna seem like making a cartoon is completely out of their reach.

I love Glitch's shows but I fucking hate the standard they're setting for what counts as indie
