My first GDC 2008 I attended in awe. 9 years later I made it onstage, when we won for Hyper Light Drifter! I’ve juried Narrative Award, was nominated for OFK…the IGFs are such a gravity well to me. Awards aren’t everything, but they can be weighty punctuation marks along our journey making games
We wrote/directed the IGF Awards! Taking the reins was a Herculean task, bestowed on me by our host, my co-director & my love @karriebear.bsky.social + GDC board who trusted her to assemble a team. Our 1st call was @robdubbin.bsky.social whose seasoned skill in comedy & shows put wind in our sails🧵
