Worked on some Drukhari last month. Both Drazhar and Lady Malys were nearly finished, it’s just lots of smaller details that were wearing me down. I was tossing around maybe trying NMM on all of them but… I think one archon is enough for me lol

I know a lot of the Destiny people are hurting right now, I certainly have my memories despite how small and unremarkable they are. But that version of the game I spent my hours on no longer exists. Not even for a fleeting moment of passing nostalgia. Nothing left to mourn.

Someone on the other site posted this vid of LotR: TTA. I think about this game sometimes as the first FF style JRPG I played and I laugh because the final boss is literally the Eye of Sauron. There's no context to how you reach it. You fight god, as is tradition, while everyones at the Black Gate.

A lot of people I think were very receptive of the old helmets being added for this particular reason, even when the redesigns are less gaudy compared to the old. So the thought just occurred to me; are they doing the same thing here? Adding the older helmets in recognition of the past?
I look at the Sternguard, and recently the Red Corsairs, and a big reason I like them is because they have the old AND the new designs. There's a bit of reverence for the past when also embracing the new era. 40k is full of its own history, and it's cool to see it all together, like a tapestry.
Man I gotta lock in... So much to learn from Bob's entry. Black under armour! He got rid of the tassels and the flag for a simpler cloth on the barrel. Non metallic metal... lots to think on.
