Shabby (not chic) egalitarian, bumbling through mid-life, trying to be my authentic self.
I’m a middle aged man and I would love to be ignored. Really, everyone…
This is the signage needed in one pub near me. I suppose so they don’t either aim at the ceiling or try to piss through some other part of themselves.
I planted three very small walnut saplings about seven years ago and we have our first nut! Just the one, but it’s a start!
I set up this vertical garden in the spring, I’m really pleased with how it’s going.
It’s so hot, the cat has decided to go Au Naturelle, but don’t worry, he’s taken precautions. One is not a savage!
A question for anyone ‘in the know’ regarding courgettes and their growing habits. The flower in the right has been opening and closing, now a courgette is clearly underway. On the left, a small courgette is forming, however, the flower hasn’t developed or opened yet. How has it become pollinated?
There isn’t a ‘Y’ in the day of the week if my wife isn’t wearing a vegetable, root or otherwise 😍
Tried to capture the mog having a wash, but even as an old fella, he’s still a bit quick for me.
I’d been hoarding this old cast iron guttering for probably about ten years, with using it like this in mind. Finally got on with it this year and it’s definitely inspired me to do more and more.
‘Gerald! What the fuck are you doing with the Au Pair?!!’ ‘I was just um.. showing her how the.. um.. trouser press works..’
A recent addition to the pavement on my street. I think this artist must have used oil, as even the strongest downpour doesn’t dislodge it. I imagine they’re quite proud of it. I would be! Sallying forth with an ancient tradition. Good stuff!
Re-purposed old cast iron guttering is now a vertical garden in this little sun-trap in my back garden. Now, if I can just remember to water!
It’s cold outside, the cat is ensconced in front of the fire and chilled. Respite for the cat parents is golden!
