🌊The ocean is far more than a highway for global trade. It regulates our climate, sustains biodiversity and supports livelihoods. 🇪🇺🇨🇳 The EU and China have a shared responsibility to advance the decarbonisation of shipping and protect the ocean through cooperation, science and multilateral action.
🇪🇺🇺🇸 Today I met with US Ambassador Andrew Puzder. We exchanged views on issues of common interest. 👉🏼The EU remains committed to an open and constructive dialogue with all its partners while upholding fair competition, a rules-based international order and a level playing field.

I had the opportunity to meet with Andreas Bovenschulte, President of the German Bundesrat. 🇪🇺 Europe’s challenges require action at every level. When the European Commission, Member States, regions and cities work together, we can deliver stronger and more effective solutions for our citizens.
Climate change is a silent killer. That is why working hand in hand with cities and regions — the front line of this challenge — is a political duty. 👉🏼Europe needs joint action and high-impact measures where they matter most: on the ground.

Today at the London Local Climate Action Summit, with record temperatures across Europe, the path forward is clear: 🍀climate ambition has to deliver on the ground.
Today at E3G’s Climate Politics Forum, between Bonn and COP31, one message was clear: 👉🏼Multilateralism must be renewed, not abandoned. In a fragmented world, our climate, energy and technology systems remain deeply interdependent. CO₂ knows no borders. Neither can our answers. #LCAW
⚡️🍀 Renewables are the cleanest option, but also the fairest, safest and fastest way to decarbonise our economies, strengthen energy security and ensure affordable energy for all. 👉🏼The challenge is no longer whether the transition will happen, but how quickly we make it work for everyone.
