I saw some of y'all showing your ArtFight wrap ups, so I would like to do the same! I was gifted a beautiful set of Prismacolor pencils, so all three that I managed to squeeze in were colored with those. Triton / @pepperbots.bsky.social Musician / Hiderai (AF) Cat hoodie gal / Artia (AF)
Getting ready to open up animal portrait commissions again with a few different price point options! As soon as I finish my samples I will make a post with the form. Make sure to look out for it if you want art of your pet!
Bathroom selfie before I drove to the con! Shoutout to the kind con-goers that let me know that my hat fell and/or returned it to me a few times.
I have five cats! Just for fun, I'll post some pictures of one of them. This is Bitty! Her govt name is Edie. Her tail leans crooked, she loves grass, and she enjoys sleeping on top of me and my weighted blanket at night.
Working in the fiber department at my local Art Center has given me contact with many creative makers! My colleague has inquired for a pin cushion pattern/template suitable for woven fabrics, so naturally I decided to experiment on the spot. I can't wait to see what their guild makes!
I have been blessed with the Prismacolor pencil set of my dreams and for the sake of those that made this happen and for the sake of my teenage self, I must use them with lots of love! I cried when I opened the box. Have a Manderville. My first art with the new set!
Art Fight starts tomorrow. I will warm up by sharing the little character art I did yesterday. I've been working on repairing my relationship with drawing and sharing my art for the last year, I'm really proud of the progress I've made.
QRT with a sword. I don't even wanna talk about how long ago this was. 😨
Years ago when my husband changed this character's love interest into a fem character, I said that would not have been a deal breaker for my girl Adeliiz. This small decision lead to a more deep thought and exploration process personally. I came out as bi a few years later. Thank you, Adeliiz. <3
One year of selling at markets, right back at the one I started at in the heart of my city. If I have learned anything, it is that the way product moves will never be truly predictable! Thanks for following and supporting my art. It means the world to me. <3
Mini succulents and some round pokemon for market prep. AI cannot do what we do. 😭 #artbyhumans
I keep on thinking about the #Gameoverse pilot. Have you watched it yet? It must have been the nods and the references to games that shaped me as a kid that really pulled me in! Looking forward to more of this.
I'm still on my felting journey both in my career and personally. Re-visiting an idea that I played with before my FFXIV break after a friend made this suggestion. Looking forward to putting his goofy little face on. 👀
Summer camp prep. I just got out of a really challenging situation with a teen student. Even so, I remain optimistic for the next batch of teens that I'll be welcoming into the studio. Did you know that they're kind of into "granny-core" hobbies now? I think kids are craving a way to slow down.
Market day!! Once again, the XIV community definitely showed up for me. The goose towels were the hot item this time. Felted pokemon I sold 3/4 which is awesome! I'm very surprised the little felted succulents didn't move. ;_; It was a great time! I can't wait to rest now that it's over.
My first Etsy product in 2020 was the collection of FFXIV job patches. I've been debating retiring them for a while, and now that they don't really move I think it's time. I may do a $5 each sale to give them one last hurrah! Bringing them to this weekend's market, then I'll list a sale.
I taught my teen costume class how to dye trims yesterday. For obvious privacy reasons, there's no picture of their adorable selves stirring their pots, but I think they did a great job getting their desired colors! I don't make a ton of money here, but this job has changed me for good. <3
Hi squad, Alter Ego Creative here! I specialize in embroidery and accessories. Decals are also on the table! Want something you don't see at the shop? I also take custom orders! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY XIVFMN!!! I'm honored to be here! www.etsy.com/shop/AlterEg...
To follow up, I did not manage to get post styling pictures, but I want to assure you that those three had a blast. The Art Center's foam heads are now lovely reminders of our time in the studio today.
Chrono Trigger is 31, but my bestie and I are simply TIMELESS. I wish I had a pic of us wearing the little wool capelets I made us, but I'll cherish this set from many Acen's ago for the rest of my life.
M: Mega Man 4 I played this a lot with my brother when I was a kid! It was hard. And you know what? IT'S STILL HARD. But I did it! My brother stayed in voice chat with me and helped me figure out that final bout and for that connection alone, it was totally worth it.
I had to cancel the first two conventions I wanted to attend this year. Responsible choices suck, but sometimes they're necessary. Then the universe sometimes understands that and pays it forward. I'll be in the same vicinity as one of the biggest creative influences of my life.
I picked up a Sashiko embroidery make-it-take-it next week to substitute for another instructor. I'm getting her supplies and have started my deep dive. Have any of y'all tried this technique before? If so, do you have any tips or resources to share?
