Could there be something to be said about a lack of self-love and acceptance of my own shape? Maybe, but I'm comfortable drawing myself honestly, being overweight. People have recognized me at conventions solely based on how I draw myself. Way I see it, I'm just not my own type, and that's alright.

Yet there does exist a desire to express sexually, to some degree, and my TF art is an expression of that. I still consider the "transformed self" a continuation of myself. Different body, same mind. Now comfortable to express certain wants and desires now that I'm outside of my usual self.

NYA-HAH I HAVE ALREADY UNPACKED THIS AND NOW I PRESENT IT TO YOU if you're interested in reading it. Basically the way I am now, I don't really consider myself "sexually desirable" nor do I have an interest to "express sexually", at least not the way that I am now.

I'm sure there's something to unpack with being asexual yet fascinated with turning into characters that are often contextualized through their sexuality, whether by text or by fandom... But I'm too busy turning into cute and/or sexy shit to ponder that at the moment. #transformation

I think my interest in character TFs largely stems from this idea from Understanding Comics. We see and put ourselves into the cartoons we're looking at. Whenever I draw myself turning into someone, I'm both telling you something about myself... And maybe a little about yourself, too.

This isn't any specific conversation, just a distillation of many with different friends over the years. That being said:
