Police say they identified Lazorishak’s truck via camera footage and found him at the home of an acquaintance early Monday morning, where he answered the door wearing a purple shirt, shorts and Crocs, the popular comfort sandal, that were decorated with Minions, the fictional yellow creatures predisposed to assist villainous figures, notably Gru, the protagonist of the “Despicable Me” franchise.

As I've started logging more of my around-town rides, I now know that almost getting t-boned only raises my heart rate by 5 beats per minute. Putting "Calm under pressure" on my LinkedIn, baby. Bonus: The sheriff van who the person also almost t-boned did jack shit to pursue the reckless driver.

Capital flight in the 70's, when Hirschman wrote "Exit, Voice, and the State", had a very different valence. To the alt text!

Capital flight is obviously much less of a weapon in the largest and most powerful countries where the owners of capital feel that there is no place else to go. Here it can be expected that voice will be activated by the impossibility of exit. Capitalists will make elaborate attempts to influence public opinion and public policy. An ideology in defense of capitalism will arise.

Anselm Kiefer's work invites contemplation of the relationship between good and evil, redemption and destruction. Many of his paintings are based on ancient myths and sagas, which he believes are part of a collective human history. In this piece, the seashore and the night sky are connected by delicate lines that form the constellation Draco ("Dragon"). The dragon appears in the lore of many cultures, but Kiefer is most likely referring to the tale of Siegfried and Brunhilde, a German myth that has inspired many of his works. In this story, the evil dragon can be slain only by the pure of heart.

C: "Gonna suck to be without Balogun against Belgium"
B: "Can they appeal? I don't know the rules anymore"
C: "Maybe? What good is having a FIFA Peace Prize if we aren't recognized for our peaceful ways
J: "Can not appeal"
B: "I like the thought process Chris has. Trump gets involved. FIFA magically changes their laws mid tournament (to keep peace). Red Card pardoned."

Do I have reservations about Melat? Yes. Do I value DeGette's work? Yes. Did I vote for Melat because I don't believe DeGette can meet the moment? Yes. Do I feel even more confident that I made the right choice after seeing this bitter concession? Abso-friggin'-lutely.

The previous record for number of fans at an NWSL match was 40,091. Summit FC's first match ever, held at Mile High, has sold more than 60,000 tickets. I'm sure the team apologizes to the No Kings protests, which will be smaller by 60k people than they would have been otherwise.

Summit FC return to Denver for their first home match in club history, greeted by an eager crowd set to shatter the single-match NWSL attendance record, with over 60,000 tickets already sold.
