Thank you Eryn! I've missed these! As it's been a while, I'll promo the #HorrorWritersChat anthology! 100% of profits go to Macmillan in honour of our original host MG Mason. 20 unique tales of the shadows that torment adult life Available on Ko-Fi and Amazon ko-fi.com/s/f6f7a5a7f5
I swear one of these days, I'll make it into the word count! #HorrorWritersChat
RIP to the great Sam Neill. A man I've adored and admired for 30+ years.
The proof copy for my next book, Familiar Territory, has arrived! It's been a little while since I've had a solo release, so I am absolutely ready to dive into this for the final edits, ready for its September release!
Also thrilled to see that now half of my published work has hit 10 reviews, with Reflections almost ready to join them! So thank you as ever for those who have taken a chance on my stories
Whilst my current situation has made it harder to get on with writing, I have made good progress editing my next book, and found time to pick up an old hobby again in painting a little pride rose
In a brief break from hyping up our brilliant anthology, I'd like to promote an older short story of mine. It's not quite hospital horror, but felt a little apt still; The diary of a man chronicling his transformation into the undead. #HorrorWritersChat books2read.com/u/bMVDZX
Okay I got a little carried away yet again... #HorrorWritersChat
Quote with the last 4 games you've played; I've not had much time so it's been a lot of cosy and comfort gaming really, whilst occasionally still pushing through the world of Alan Wake as my main event
Thrilled to see the paperback for The Shadows That We Carry is doing well in the top 100 for anthologies for its debut week! Thank you to everyone who has taken a chance on it so far, hope you all find some fantastic new authors to follow, whilst helping support a great cause
The Shadows That We Carry is officially out now! Available on ebook or paperback, this horror anthology features 20 unique voices in horror, with all profits being donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Amazon (ebook/paperback): amzn.eu/d/098CFL12 Ko-Fi (paperback): ko-fi.com/s/c24c7af3a0
The cover for the upcoming charity anthology in honour of MG Mason; The Shadows That We Carry
I was a huge fan of Shadows of Cathedral Lane by the late (but ever wonderful) MG Mason. The main character goes on a journey of discovering her demisexuality whilst exploring a murder mystery where the victim was a ghost (as is so often the case in this town!)
Not great at self promoting, but for those interested - this Friday I'll be doing a live reading of a short story alongside several other fantastic guests on the Indiosyncrasy podcast! www.youtube.com/live/-8wehSH...
Quote post with the best picture you have taken of your pet. Top 3 for me - his most flattering, the one that makes me want to cry remembering him, and the one I caught of him just staring up at me and purring his heart out.
Thanks for a great week of hosting! For promo, I suppose there is this... ... Drumroll... The Shadows That We Carry has a release date! May 7th #HorrorWritersChat
Thanks for hosting Gree! To keep with the theme; here's a story about a daughter trapped by an overprotective mother, and a creepy doll with some sinister secrets... books2read.com/b/br95dA
As I wait on final tweaks and contract stuff to fall into place, I thought I'd order a prototype copy to proofread and catch any formatting issues. So behold! A sneakpeak at the upcoming #HorrorWritersChat anthology!
What keeps you writing, when all feels lost? For me, I have this frame to keep me going. That drive to at least complete it, so even if my work never truly takes off, I can look back & be proud of my body of work.
For promo, I'll go with A Survivor's Eye; 3 survivors of a slasher find themselves haunted by the night they survived. The ghost of their past that threatens to consume their future. books2read.com/u/mZqWwD #HorrorWriterChat
Ok I'm cheating because this was as close to the word count as I could get it and stay coherent! Apologies #HorrorWritersChat
Slowly growing the physical collection of the ever-talented @erynmccee.bsky.social with her latest release; Forbidden Tea!
It's been a little deflating this last year having stalled so much of my writing to survive real world things, so finally getting some brand merch stuff ready for book releases this year, is just the kind of smile I need!
I quite like the imagery of your temper almost being this separate entity that just physically resembles you!
