Art Process and Bonus Crap:
I already explained some stuff in some posts, but for the majority of people who probably didn't see those I will explain it again.

So this was a pretty different experience for me, but hella worth it.
First off this idea came to me as a searing vison into my brain while I was trying to go to sleep on the day I finished Chapter 5.
Probably the most vivid vison of an art idea I've ever had.

After you do the battle with Pink you can take a break with Pink at the cafe and there's some dialogue where she says "NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO BLOW UP MY BODY EXCEPT ME!!!" and that made me have a brain boner, so I knew what had to do... which was make the most insane art I've ever made (again).
First step was using a blender recreation of my idea as a basis for the art as seen here:

This step... helped so god damn much, it's insane.
I will be doing it more.
It really helped because it's quite difficult to take the angles, scale, and placement of things in my head and translate them to a drawing.

Something I've realized is that an aspect of getting better at art is about finding out your weaknesses as an artist and thinking about how to use the tools that are given to you to circumvent those weaknesses or work with your weaknesses.
Seems like an obvious thing, it's also 100% been said before but idk... actually realizing makes it seem like it's never been thought of before, if that makes any sense.

Started this on May 23rd.
Was halfway done with the shading on this, got bored of making the art and then took that break I mentioned in that one post.

I was gonna add a dialogue option box type thing but I forgot to take a screenshot of it from the game, and now I've beaten the game and uninstalled it and I don't feel like installing it again.

I also didn't feel like doing a drawn version of the Yongen-Jaya Backstreets portion of the background, so I just did my classic take a screenshot from the game thing I do.

I've wanted to do some lineless art, the idea has been bouncing around in my brain for a while now. Got reminded of the idea recently after looking at some art I was making but with just the shading and colour layers and was like "Huh... this looks pretty good even without lines".

So, I thought doing this idea for a character from a game where the whole art style is clay would make sense, since clay doesn't have defined lines, just shapes and colours that define where things stop and end.
It's also been a hot minute since I did a Nintendo character that was just a cute, squishy, little goober but really beeg.

Another thought I had was when I was looking at that Astolfo art from a bit ago and was like "Damn that shading on the belly looks clean... It also sort of looks like when clay is sculpted in a certain way"

Maybe I'll try doing some clay sculpting to add to my collection of art mediums and styles on this account...
(I got a really good idea while writing this for a different character...)

Wanted to do another piece of art where I just finish it in one sitting, not as good as the other one I made in one sitting but good enough for me to not care if it kinda sucks.
Not the greatest day today either so that's not helping my art abilities.

At least there's a Nintendo Direct tomorrow... where I can be shown a bunch of stuff I can't afford... *sigh*

This is how I spent my first moments in this game, in a hole in the ground, drawing fetish art...

it's a 10/10 game, nothing more needs to be said really

The game is Lucid Blocks btw.
My friend got me the game on Steam for my birthday and I only just played it yesterday, Persona 5 has all of my attention which is why I only just got around to playing it now.

I really should do this more in games that have a drawing feature or anything that I 'can' draw on in real life.

Like that one time I posted that drawing that I did on my couch using the way the fabric changes from light to dark depending on which way you move your finger across it.
(It's on my Twitter, but it's nothing impressive)

When I was making this, I got to the lines for Yukari and Mitsuru and then had the idea for the other bigger thing I was working on, and put this on the back burner while I worked on that.
And am I glad a did that because I think this would have turned out bad if I didn't gain the experience from working on the other art first.

But thankfully it turned out better than I could've hoped for.
An amazing game deserves art that has soul put into it.

Another thing about when I was doing the lines for Yukari and Mitsuru is that I hadn't gotten the character's key art to use as visual reference yet and once I put the images into Krita, I realized that I had accidentally did them in their key art poses before even seeing the key art... kinda.

My photo morphing skills finally got used for something, yay! (Even if it just a blue nose & full blue edit, but they're simple fun so who cares)

I also was gonna do the whole background as a drawn version of the courtyard but I got bored and frustrated doing that so I just used the part of the drawn background I was happy with and just covered up the rest with the star background.
It looks cooler like this anyway.

I'm really proud of how the first drawing of Makoto turned out.

The design for this character satisfies and itches my brain in all the right ways.
The colours, the expression, the outfit and the layers to the outfit, those big round glasses... god...

I did art for Miri before but I just tried emulating their artstyle in that one, here I just kinda... did whatever I do.

I haven't finished this much art this quickly before (I think).
A six part sequence followed up with art featuring three characters with a drawn background (both which I have yet to post) and now this which I did in one sitting.
I feel like I could even still do more today... if I weren't tired >:[
I did see something else yesterday that tickled my fancy so maybe tomorrow I'll do it...

Damn it's been 10 days...
Anyway, felt inspired after playing Pokopia one day and was like "I haven't done a single Pokémon thing, let alone any of the Pokémon everyone wants to get freaky with"
So I came up with this idea for a Gardevoir that became infatuated with gum after sharing a special moment with someone while chewing on a piece of gum.
She is very eccentric and get's into 'peculiar situations' a lot.
I also made this shut-in scientist guy that is the total opposite to her, doesn't like confrontation, very private except in his own home or around people he's comfortable with.
He may or may not be the "someone" I mentioned earlier.

Pokopia also made me wanna play a regular Pokémon game.

As I was making this I said myself "Huh... I don't own Splatoon 2 I only have 3". But then I realized I had the DLC, and that has the Splatoon 2 hub area and then I popped off. It was awesome.
I've been wanting to draw Marie since I started art.
Drawing the designs on the clothing was kind of horrible.
