"Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" Worth fighting for. Information and commentary on politics, society, and current events from an ex-data scientist/social scientist.
Pete Hegesth has just appointed a new Secretary of the Navy. He expects they will be working very closely together over the next few months to develop new fitness standards.
Further proof that Lindsey Graham is 'alive' according to the GOP.
U.S. citizens, as a whole, despite what many of them think, are utterly and painfully unexceptional. They have almost no civic sense and no 'flame of freedom' burning in them. They are ignorant hedonists thrilling in effortless rewards and victorious struggles against people and nations... 1/7
I catch your drift. Don't agree though. On average, I'd rather be in a room of non-voters than a room of MAGA supporters. The former is unfortunate and frustrating, the latter is outright dangerous and soul-crushing. And while I might let a non-voter babysit my kid...no way with a MAGA. No. Way.
Trumps 'multi-dimensional chess' brain. 'Person, woman, man, camera, TV,'
In 2007 the now President of the United States was then selling overpriced steaks at tech-gadget stores. It fell apart in two months with the store CEO saying "we literally sold almost no steaks". 9 years later he was firat elected to became the worst President in US history. Then he was re-elected.
True. Whatever the pathetic loser is doing seems to be working.
Trump: "You don't have the cards!" Zelensky: "Ok. Full House. What have you got?" Trump: "Slop. I was bluffing. I always have a slop hand and I always bluff with it."
Corporate Media (CM): "Why do you fail to pay your bills?" American Voter (AV): "My income is artificially depressed. I am being robbed." CM: "Wrong! You work more without complaint. When you see a homeless person how do you feel? AV: "Sad for them and anxious for my own family." 1/4
What is insane is the 44%. I would avoid any geography where GOP support is that high in 2026. Thats a lot of awful people with poor judgement. Sorry, but true.
I'm sick and tired of the macho tropes that flood our culture. The WWF, violent, corporate-gangsta, FoxNews homophobe, 'real man' posturing. A bunch of stunted, fearful, thin-skinned, man-babies. GenX had Mr. Rogers. We need a lot more of his vibe in our content feeds and playlists. Who? Anyone?
I cannot believe that the military leadership is content with the idea of dropping young U.S. troops into Iran based on the demonstrably awful judgement and corrupt motives of an addle-brained pedophile. The same guy that thinks our veterans are 'suckers' and 'losers'. The GOP are awful; evil.
Free-markets ideology is pushed by the 'winners' who want 'losers' to 'accept the market has spoken'. Still, you always find those 'winners' will pursue unfair, market corrupting advantages, including major political interference, if they ever fear losing. Evangelicals are losing their grift-market.
Im surprised Trump thinks '86' means 'spit in his food', since Im sure he has had that happen on a few occasions in restaurants.
Remember when Ukrainian civilians were preparing to defend Kyiv with homemade firebombs? Now they are picking apart Russia with the worlds best homegrown drone army. This U.S. citizen knows that Ukraine is currently the epicenter of the fight against world tyranny. They have it right. Putin=Trump
According to some right-wing pundits, JD was inciting political violence against Trump.
From the first and only Epstein files data dump, before the DOJ retracted it. No other Epstein files have been released. Now, consider all the OTHER crimes, schemes, lies, and wrongdoing he has perpetuated that are too numerous to count. I do not care what happens to him. I'm fine with that. 4/4
Sworn affidavit of a former Epstein employee who witnessed Trump violently raping a 12 and 13 year old. 2/4
Being less than bothered if a person like Trump stops breathing is not wrong. He has committed countless injustices upon many people. I'm open to discussion, but first review this four-part post and then consider all else. Sworn affidavit from a victim. Trump brutally raping a 13 year old. 1/4
Once again the NYT has decided that the people that we must listen to the most are 'right-wing' voters. I almost never see them do a panel so we can hear about 'what progressive voters are thinking'. If you are 'left of center', you don't really matter in the USA, apparently.
NYT Panelist responding to the question: "What do you wish other people knew about your vote for Trump?" How about focusing on getting the ultra-rich to pay their fair share? Folks have no civic consciousness. Its just "me and my paycheck."
NYT Panelist. This is why we can't have nice things. Nobody has any sense of why they need to pay taxes. Everything is taken for granted. "I paid off my car loan, so why should I have to pay to get it's oil changed? Why should I have to pay for new tires! It's not fair!" Idiocracy, right? No?
