Successful shakedown cruise in the kayak yesterday. First time fishing season ice season. Great to connect with a nice brown trout, but the windy conditions made it very challenging.

Though winter isn’t quite done yet, it surely felt like spring today. Snow is mostly gone from the yard, temps flirting with 60, red-winged blackbirds are back. Feels good!
