As I am about to turn 48, the most significant work of my childhood celebrates it's 40th birthday. Bill Watterson forever changed a portion of my generation who, in turn, found a new and better way to raise their children. Turns out Social Progress also goes "BOINK"

Astounding that some people are not aware of how terrible the Salvation Army is. Do not give them a dime. Give it to inclusive shelters and support organizations instead.

Quick note for the Chicago locals (or those in the area): I'm guest DJing at the Sanctuary event this Saturday at Underground Lounge (9pm-3am). I have some old favorites in mind but will be hitting the full spectrum so everyone gets some dancing fun. Costumes encouraged, not required.

Having a hard time guessing if this is a favorite haunt of @gailsimone.bsky.social or if she went straight to franchising. Either way, would recommend.

Tomorrow night's show is a "Justified Rage" event featuring music to break things to. Because things are as far from okay as possible and the music should reflect that. 6-8pm CT Stream it at wnur.org

So it's DJ Daki at the controls this Saturday and there was a lingering question going into this week: do a show that befits Valentine's Day where it's all about songs we love... or do one befitting the state of things in the world right now.

The latter has been chosen.

On Saturday from 6-8pm CT there will be a broadcast of "Justified Rage" music that can be the soundtrack to some therapeutic stomping. In other words: music to break things to.

Featured on the show will be Gesaffelstein, DV8R, ESA: Electronic Substance Abuse, Orange Sector, iVardensphere, Tactical Sekt, Chainreactor, Uberbyte, FGFC820, S.A.M., Circuito Cerrado, Die Krupps, Antibody, and newly released music from MATT HART.
