Remembering Bobby Sherman, born on today's date in 1942. I knew him best from the pages of Tiger Beat that wound up on my bedroom wall alongside Michael Jackson, Donny Osmond, and The Sylvers. He died last year at the age of 81.

I couldn't let the day pass without remembering one of my all-time favorite stars, Barbara Stanwyck, @botd in 1907. I love her in everything I've ever seen her in, including the underrated Internes Can't Take Money (1937). Can you recommend a Stanwyck movie that doesn't get enough love?
Celebrating Nancy Olson, who turns 98 today!! Loved her in Sunset Blvd. (1950), of course, as well as in a lesser-known noir released the same year, Union Station. And loved seeing her at #TCMFF a few years back. She’s the same age as my mom - wishing them both many more!!🎂🎁🎬❤️
Remembering Barbara Loden, who was born in Asheville, North Carolina on today's date in 1932. I know her best as Warren Beatty's sister in Splendor in the Grass, and for Wanda, the acclaimed 1970 independent film she wrote, directed, and starred in. She died in 1980 at age 48.

Remembering George "Skip" Homeier, who died on today's date in 2017 at the age of 86. I first saw him in the 1954 noir Cry Vengeance, but I rediscovered him in westerns like The Gunfighter, The Lone Gun, and The Tall T. He was born in Chicago and started his film career at age 14 as "Skippy."
