He/Him, Elder millennial, COVID conscious. Love books, video games, sports, arts, music, science, and history. Currently playing Valkyria Chronicles 2. Currently reading _Beautiful World, Where Are You?_. When I say “we” about World Cup it means France
Lots of reasons to love this album, but one for me for sure is that every time I listen to it I think back at least once to MTV's Unplugged concerts.
Every time Fox splashes up their Team USA graphics I for a split second see this as @thehistoryguy.bsky.social
Because time spent huddling in shelter away from tornados is, at least to me, a pocket of un-reality, the idea that I'd continue listening to my current audiobook seemed crazy. Picked up _Women! In! Peril_ by Jessie Ren Marshall and it took me straight away. Just finished the opening story
Continue to enjoy-- a half-dozen or so listens in-- this album. Having read over the last couple decades nearly all of Murakami's books it's fun to have a way to look back at them from a different angle. #BookSky
Fenix with the right idea with the bottle vests (I forget the preferred name)
Was explained to at $work how I could plug a bunch of information into Claude to make a spreadsheet? Instead of just putting on some tunes and plugging that same info into Excel? Anyway, here's tunez
Hello to your baby armadillos from our grandhogs (2nd year in a row Galumph the groundhog, our precious daughter who lives beneath our shed, has had a litter), 1 of we think 6 pictured here. They also have come to climb the bench.
it'd be clockwise going up and counter/anti-clockwise going down? www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...
Had hoped it'd be a better link-- book is _The House of War The Struggle Between Christendom and the Caliphate_ by Simon Mayall. Within ~a 1 mile walk listening to the book he had me absolutely on the side of Raimond of Tripoli against that clown. m.media-amazon.com/images/I/91A...
9 games that made me. Really reflective of a lot of my taste from the last 5-10 years in particular, with some ones that had been big (Destiny + Overwatch in particular) omitted as I've pretty much hung those up. (made w/ my9games.com)
Sent this one just the other day to a couple other some fellow French Appreciators
It took a long time in life to begin to pull back the curtain and start considering all the work that goes into crafting a musical work. Listening to Concerto de Aranjuez yesterday (and again today) I am bowled over again that such a perfect orchestration could be spun from airy nothings.
I never stop being wowed by this album. Haunting and melancholic strains that manage to enthrall time and time again. And above and beyond the composition, the recording quality is fantastic; one of the best-sounding piano albums I've ever listened to.
Off the top of my head I'd say Rhinochimaeridae. Some of the videos of them on YT are just hypnotizing.
Grew up watching this gentleman and every gd commentator learned how to say it because 1) respect, 2) they were effing grown-ups capable of learning
Okay, Chihiro Yamanaka, I was not familiar with your game. Great random Apple Music pick-- and a make or break first track with Maple Leaf Rag. I don't know if it's legit but, as I once read an article about Cuphead using a cartoon style rooted in racism, that song always sounds that way to me.
Our backyard groundhog had babies and our grandhogs have been a constant delight over the summer.
I couldn't limit to 10 faves when movies are so different so I've cheated and listed (probably) my 15 favorite movies from the 21st century.
