I'm reading a book and the writer keeps doing this thing where she says a character does something. Then immediately counters it by saying they did not do the exact same thing. I don't know if this is just her writing style but...I don't like it.

I've been feeling like a stitch witch, and I'm blaming @sk8tie.bsky.social and her latest project. But all my cross stitch supplies are inaccessible, so I bought one of those little kits. I did find the perfect needleminder for the project, though.

Ok, so this was our method.at the restaurant. Basic plastic restaurant pitcher (like the kind they always bring out to top off your water). Fill to the handle level with granulated sugar. Hold under the hot water spigot, stirring until dissolved, then add to 5 gal tea.
