My puppy, Nala (and my husband) sent this encouragement to me while I protested in DC at his 2016 inauguration. she knew before I did that he was an enemy to animals; and that humans like Todd Blanche, Mike Johnson, etc don't even deserve to be called "pet".
Everyone knew this album at the time. In the ash-heap of history now, I think.
Walking on our land in Vt, my beloved Loki -running back and forth - would only get so far away. He *always* stopped to wait for me, and make sure I was ok. Such a prince!
Remember the awesome show, "Room 222" 1969-1970? I didn't understand the significance behind it, i was delighted by the diversity of the cast. It was so refreshing, even to 6 yr old me. And WTF? I didn't expect to find @markhamillofficial.bsky.social in the cast! Woke back then, too. 💕
Can we help support the Maine senate race to get on track by July 27th? Chip in to the Maine Democrats senate fund and help their campaign defeat Susan Collins. $10?$100?
Community radio 103.3 fm Asheville has great, quirky programming- you can listen online, too. You won't always like what you hear, but then you stumble across a gem of a show like "Too Dark for Disney" or "Sweet Tea". Note to self: check out "Music My Mother Would Not Like" by Bruce.
How cool is it (and unexpected) that he had an album cover by Dali? Never listened to it, but I do have a famed copy of it hanging in my home.
Not the best photo, but you can get an idea of the hair projecting off the face.
And maybe not-so-silent battle w nose hair. Not to mention eyebrow hair, our genetic inheritance:
Tangentially, I saw your user name and had to share this 1926 book I'm currently reading. 🙂
The young'uns are getting stuff done! Little things matter. 💯 So do showing up and SPEAKING UP. My daughter working w her union in lily-white Vermont: #unions #juneteenth
C'mon people. Please do your homework. This isn't Facebook, here. At least, not yet.
I liked this post and then this popped into my head:
This is so refreshing! Especially since you aren't looking to turn the conversation to yourself. My brother's "conversations" are more like orations. Thankfully he's extremely entertaining & knowledgeable, like a good college professor. Except good professors engage in give and take

Description from the Thrift Books website: "For two years naturalist/photographer Hope Ryden camped in remote areas of the West observing and photographing coyotes...she describes the private life of this much-maligned animal in a book that has been heralded as the classic treatise on the subject."

The text obscures the what in the fresh hell is this clown wearing? Since the text obscures his sparkly suit w floppy tie, I had to see it in its full "glory". This is one of the worst uses of sparkles, ever. (Credit:Taylor hill/Getty Images)
They could have used this guy... ("He only agreed to the deal after the steelers threw in a 1988 pontiac firebird and def leppards back catalog on cassette")
This little cutie shopped at my thrift store for her Rosa Parks outfit. Seriously verklempt to see the final outcome...
My puppy showing support for my protest, the Jan 2017 inauguration. One block from WH - crowds so thin, I walked right in to front row no problem.
Let's not forget the America First movement after WW1. I was shocked that Trump chose this catch phrase to rally around. All I could think at the time was: My god, do these folks know *nothing* about our history?? Here's a cartoon by Theodore Geisel (aka Dr Seuss) from that time period;
