Once again I need help from you gardening bods. This tree was in the churchyard of an abbey and the scent was overwhelming. It was full of bees & I thought I’d taken a close up but clearly nervous of getting stung Can anyone identify it for me? @lisacov19.bsky.social
Once we left Brecon we set off for Abbey Dore to see Dore Abbey ( keep up!). Once a huge settlement for Cistercian monks it is now a parish church with elements of the grandeur of an abbey #littleadventures26

We are staying in Breacon at a hotel that shares a wall with the castle. It is all that remains. Our room is super and love the co-ordinated bedding. We also have a copy of a great little book #littleadventures26
So excited about the birds that were so a home. They were house martins who used the walks of the castle for their best. I managed to get a couple of shots of little heads peeping out but hats off to the parents who never stopped feeding them #littleadventures26
Castles sort of things. Nick thinks the shape in the wall isn’t about the church but allows a crossbow to be fired. Thoughts? #littleadventures26
Such a lovely setting with lots of arches and windows for me to photograph #littleadventures26 Goodrich Castle
I’ve never been but Nick was here 50years ago! It was much larger than I thought & full of house martins swooping catching flies for young #littleadventures26 Goodrich Castle
