Mum's making the bed. I'm helping 😁 She says it's too hot for these shenanigans, and I think she might be right. I spend all day grinning like a doofus because I'm too warm 😂

Mum and dad ONLY JUST GOT HOME and it's nearly 2 in the morning! It was a concert for a band I've never heard of, and as usual they never take me anywhere exciting, but at least THEY had a good time 😠 (Mum assures me it was too loud and I would have hated it, but we'll never know, will we?)

Despite the sadness, this made mum smile: when searching her photos for Arnie, Google included the following 2 pictures - one of a lemur, and one of me! 🥺

He and Pepper went to live with Auntie Julie 18 months ago, because they didn't get enough attention here (entirely my fault 😳). He lived his best life there, with endless cuddles, but aged 18 he became feeble, and passed away after a seizure last night. He was a Good Cat. 2/3

We have a new floor, in the back hallway and the kitchen, which is going to be a utility room when half the living room has finished being turned into a new kitchen 🙄 I think it's all a bit silly, but at least it's not shiny slippery laminate which I hate! And I got to say hello to the workmen 😁

Dad's daughter Ashley used to take ones like that 🤣🤣 She got better at it eventually!

It's TOO HOT so I can't have a walk and I'm SO BORED. But on the plus side, the neighbours put an inflatable pool next to our fence, and when they emptied it it flooded our garden! I had a paddling pool for an hour 🤣 - if you look closely my paws are still damp 😁

Mum called me a scruffy-bum today! 😠 Woman, even we short-coated dogs need an occasional brush when we're moulting! Now I'm shiny again, and we have enough spare fluff to make a mini-me 😂

Last night we had LOUD thunder and lightning, and it was VERY SCARY but I was extremely brave. This morning I have had a fancy yoghurt with breakfast, and pulled out some of my toys to make sure everyone survived the storm. We're all good! 😁

I'm not very lively right now, but it is nearly 2am 🤣🤣

18°C and full sun today - mum hung the washing OUTSIDE! 😲 We went for a lovely shady walk through the trees, then across the common for a cooling swim in the river 😁

Sometimes for a treat mum puts the electric fire on, because I love it! We started using it when our heating broke down, and every day since I lie hopefully in front of it, but it's been mild so we haven't used it. Today it was chilly, so mum put it on for me 😁

Look at how wet my field is! I found lots of big sticks but I couldn't get them out, so I decided my ball is more fun 😁

Tired legs, comfy couch, happy dog 😊

Today we went on a LONG walk to a place I haven't been to for ages, but I remembered all my favourite puddles and mud patches! It's been rainy so there was more water than mud - so I didn't get nearly as muddy as I like 🤣

Today we are back in our local field, and we have snow, which is fun (for me, not mum 🤭) - but my muddy puddle isn't a puddle!

1.15pm and already the sun's so low you can hardly see me - unless you've got very good eyes! 👀🤓😆

It's a frosty 2 degrees in the sun (it was MINUS 3 this morning!) - perfect weather for skinny dipping in my opinion. I know not everyone agrees 😂😂

A very happy Christmas to all my friends! I got 2 new toys today, but mum didn't film me opening them this time, because I took even longer than with my birthday present 😂 We hope everyone has a lovely day, and lots of treats 😁

Mum now thinks I enjoy shredding the wrapping paper more than playing with the toy 🙄 But I actually love both! It's a little blue elephant, and it has a hairy head and a squeaker (so mum said if it was made by anyone other than Kong it wouldn't last 5 minutes 🤣) I love it!

I spent nearly 5 minutes tearing open the paper in small pieces, so you'll be glad to know that mum cut the video 🤣 When I got hold of the toy inside, I discovered that he or she has a label, so I had to tear that off first - until it got stuck in my teeth!

Mum deliberately gave me my present to open on the relatively clean rug (for the video 😂), but I insisted on taking it round the corner where I've spent the morning shredding some of my old toys - I need to make space in my toybox for birthday and Christmas gifts!
