These posts by @merlinogames.bsky.social highlight nicely the biggest reason I disliked 007 First Light. It has a huge focus on story but tells that story in a very dull way that also constantly disrupts the gameplay. It doesn't even matter if the story is good when the presentation is so poor.
Now that I finished 007 First Light, did the Tactical Simulations, and revisited a bunch of maps... It's definitely not for me.

And to streamers, these are the setting you're after. Creator dashboard -> Monetization -> Ads
I knew ad revenue on Twitch was bad but... What? These are my stats from the entire YEAR of 2025. Actually comical. Reminder to use adblock and whatever else it takes to get rid of ads, you're not supporting the streamer by watching them.

This actually sounds very good. After like 20 maps the World of Assassination structure has ran its course and Absolution's variety is just what I was hoping IOI would go for next.
Glad to have finally replayed Deadly Premonition, especially after recently watching the original run of Twin Peaks. It's so wonderfully weird that it's impossible not to enjoy it.
Spotify has become completely unusable for discovering new music. AI slop machines tagging real bands in their vomit to get visibility is just disgusting.
After one playthrough, I'm very impressed by Dreams in the Witch House by @atombraingames.bsky.social. It merely looks like a point&click adventure, but it's actually an open ended Lovecraftian investigation game and a representation of student life. Definitely looking forward to The Dunwich Horror.
Just bought the worst(?) versions of the classic Hitman games and the seller recognized me as the speedrunner who did Arabian Nights 😄 What am I doing playing Hitman again?
Only a couple of hours in, but I'm very positively surprised by the new A Quiet Place game. I expected shovelware but it actually has a bunch of interesting sound/stealth related ideas. Asthmatic protagonist trying to stay quiet while carefully opening creaky doors and avoiding tall grass is cool.
As it turns out, it is possible to use a wired connection to turn adapterless Steam controllers from e-waste to Bluetooth controllers. So what do I play with these two?

Submitted Hitman Blood Money to ESA Summer 2024. This time I don't actually want to do a speedrun, but some kind of showcase on why it's such a good game for speedrunning regardless of one's skill level. Or something like that.
These are some very good and weird horror games that I highly recommend and will not elaborate further. Just take my word for it. Any more like this?
Finished reading House of Leaves, what a weird and interesting book. I think I probably liked it, but there's a lot to unpack and I'd be lying if I said I understood it all.
