Thank you 😊 A lot have gone over since, but we now have Hollyhocks popping up to claim the glory! 😁
That’s good to hear. We’ve done that too. We’re in a new build which had too much patio & a small rectangular lawn. We‘ve put in a pond, meadow flowers & saplings we saved from old garden, as well as welcoming anything that popped up on its own. We have frogs, garden birds & hedgehog visiting 🥰
Crikey! We’re having a tiny rain shower after weeks of heatwave! #Norfolk #ClimateChange #Rain
I can’t take someone seriously who uses A1 generated images to ridicule people who care about the planet.
Wild Honeysuckle rescued from a railway bank, cleared of all greenery for a pedestrian underpass and now growing up a trellis in our back garden! 🥰 #WildFlowers #Norfolk
Lovely Thistle flowers in a nearby woodland project. (I just missed a bee by seconds 🐝) #Norfolk #WildFlowers #Nature
Went for a walk earlier & checked on a local spring-fed pond at a nearby woodland project. Very worrying to see it’s almost dried out. 😔 #drought #ExtremeHeat #ClimateCrisis #Nature #Norfolk
My little back garden is full of wild flowers thanks to seeds from @jemimasgarden.bsky.social We have a small pond, small Apple, Birch & Holly. My old-school gardener Dad thinks it’s a mess. But it’s not for him, it’s for nature! Today we have Goldfinches foraging on Knapweed, not the feeder 😁
I think Met Office got it wrong today in our area! It’s actually cloudy, breezy & just 19 degrees outside. Really weird after yesterdays heat. ☁️☁️☁️ But at least we’ve managed to get the house temperature down to 25 deg! 😁
A #crochet cover and lid for an upcycled glass ramekin rhat I made as a gift for a friend. 🧶
Wild Honeysuckle that we saved from a railway embankment cleared for a new pedestrian walkway has flowered! 😁 It smells divine 🥰 #WildFlowerHour #Norfolk #Nature #WildFlower
Defo! I reckon shutters & canopies will make a big comeback! We could always make some of these! 🧶😁
We get a fortnightly veg box from Riverford Organics & plant-based proteins from Hodmedods in East Anglia. It’s more expensive than supermarket produce, but worth it, in my view, if we’re to have a sustainable & healthy food system.
We had some near us recently! Our lovely neighbour is a bit like us and lets things grow on his little peripheral boundary 😁
I’m sad to hear that. Greens in my area are great & do so much ‘hands on’ stuff for the community. To see a different scenario in my old home town is disappointing. We were in town last week. Shocked to see Co-op food store is to close & the memorial part of the old hospital in need of attention!
These are from Greenpeace in 1992/3. I wept when I read the article. How much could have been achieved with the political will.
Spot on! 😁👍 Happy memories 😁 We’d actually been visiting the RSPB reserve next to it, but had a quick look at the grounds & a tea & toastie in the barn courtyard.
As well as being Solstice today, it’s also our anniversary. We celebrated with a fab #Vegan Sunday roast at the marvellous Huggers in Long Stratton ….and brought some vegan cake back home for later too 😁🍰🥳💐 #VeganFood #Norfolk
Hey @becksm36.bsky.social Guess where this is? Recognise it? We visited the site on Wednesday! 😁
I left Tamworth before you were elected, but we visited a couple of days ago. We were concerned to see the war memorial hospital building on Hospital Street conservation area deteriorating. Is there something you can do to get it fixed before things get worse? It’s important heritage. Thanks.
Please share this campaign to find a kidney donor for Evie - the daughter of a family friend who has a rare disease, diagnosed age 16. She & the family are going through such a lot. Evie is also #Neurodivergent (This is one way I can help them) #KidneyDisease #Donor #NHS #Autism #ADHD
David Hockney (RIP) influenced a little piece of #crochet art that I made during the Covid19 pandemic lockdown.🧶 In a magazine article, Hockney said that lockdown had taught him that all we really need is love and food. Ultimately he was right.
Yes, Apparently it wasn’t possible to be assessed for both until 2013. I’ve been doing some reading from a sociological angle, which has been really interesting. I really like the neurodiversity paradigm.
I love a wall plant! Lovely Ivy Leaved Toadflax on a flint wall nearby. #WoldFlowers #Norfolk
It’s also not great for nature. We rescued this young, grounded Swift from my parents garden patio in 40deg heat on the hottest day in 2022. Without air con in the car getting it to wildlife rescue, it would likely have died. It was intolerable heat for me outside too.
Poppies, Hawksbeard, Oxeye Daisies, Mallow, Wild Carrot & more growing on my mini-meadow by my front door. #WildFlowerHour #WildFlowers #Norfolk
