Former Mass Effect writer recently at Quintessence Games. Less frequently: short stories, novels, TTRPGs, comics, TV. Random jokester, distractible bother, compensates for morbid streak. Some political posts.
Happy birthday, Stella! Here's hoping they got your cake order juuuuust right!
Good fortune to the players. I'm not going to dump on either team. May your path to victory be unobstructed. Keep it moving out there.
News is depressing, employment sitch is depressing. Then I got a package today with author copies. It perked me up a little. Got a story in this anthology, and I get to read 9 others that are all new to me.
In other news, Urban Fantasy Addict's book giveaway worked pretty well for me this weekend. It's a little weird for a UF book to go so high up in Legal Thrillers, but... my book's pretty weird! Thanks to all who got me there. Screenshot!
Ah, sure, I'll bite. Convincing you to read my novel with the first sentence. Opening of my WIP.
I keep a photo folder full of Cake Wrecks to send to people on their birthdays. Aunt. The one on the right is "beloved aunt."
For some reason, this image plays a lot in my head when doomscrolling.
GDC is now in the rear-view mirror. Saw a good number of old friends. Met a metric ton of people who might become new friends. Was asked for hugs by a fan of my Mass Effect work. Punched the boxing machine in the Thriller bar. It was the best of times amid, for this industry, the worst of times.
Was feeling down last night. Package from Bookshop.org arrived today with these and it perked me up. Is there a phrase that covers the feeling of the opposite of “the other shoe dropped?” Like “finally got on my other shoe and feel ready to begin something again?”
Happy Year of the (Wood) Snake, everyone... oh, wait, the snek is going where the snek damn well wants to go... (sigh). Trigger warning for inconvenient sneks. Which is to say, all of them.
Don't know the creator, ID was stripped off it when I got here, officer.
Trump displays his keen business acumen. Remember, folks, dress for the job you want, not the job you have.
But they were all of them deceived, for another combo meal was made...
I'm certain you've seen this meme before about American elections, but as in much humor, repetition may be key.
Huh. Didn't think I was that early. Does this mean I can't lie about being an early adopter now?
