Players liked the play-mat and said it helped, especially during group or simultaneous combat. They even suggested going a step further and using smite tokens. (Making that VIG save was always something players needed reminding about.) I'll post mine to my itch, but it's not hard to make one.
The Mythic Bastionland one-shot went well! The myth I used was the Spider, with the Eye as a background myth lending flavor to ruins. I also added a tourney and an enchanted sleeping child to spice things up. Some thoughts...

Stuff read in May 2026... It was mostly Penric & Desdemona novels, because they are perfect reading for long flights and those hours you can't sleep because of jetlag.
I think it's important to keep a spooky piece of wood around... just in case.
